I just lost my grandfather today 8/8/2023 and this song makes me feel so sad..i will remember this song 4ever

This reminds me of when my son was in active addiction and it really was like losing him slowly, you know that call is coming, you grieve so hard but also make yourself crazy trying to save them at the same time even tho you know you can’t do it for them. I remember long nights in the ER with him trying to memorize his features, the shape of his hands, the way his hair fell because I didn’t know if I would see it all much longer. I was wild with fear. I wasn’t even religious but in sheer desperation and helplessness I began to pray constantly. Anyway, he’s doing so much better now but I think I have PTSD from it and this song brings it all back. So does Chlorine by Twenty One Pilots because I swear that song always came on while he was deep in crisis. Music has a powerful way of bringing back memories.

I lost my little brother back in January 2019. I listen to this song every time I feel like I need to grieve him because it’s exactly how I feel about losing him. He was the sibling I felt the most connected to in my family. All of my childhood memories include him. We had the same type of humor therefore could just act silly, goofy, stupid together and we’d get each other. I tried helping him with his addictions and everything but he wouldn’t help himself. I’ll never forget getting the call from my dad informing me that the cops found him and he was gone. To this day, we’re not entirely sure if it was an accident or if he committed su!cide but I have a strong feeling it was the latter. It breaks my heart thinking that hence why this song resonates for me. It puts it all into words for me. Hug your loved ones. Don’t take them for granted. We never know when it’s anyone’s time or who’s hurting.

My grandmother passed away in January 2023. And my rabbit passed away in August 2023. I also lost my other (and last) rabbit in April 2024 and I miss them both so much and this song just makes so much sense.

I’ve had depression, anxiety, and anger issues for as long as I can remember, my grandfather died last year and worsened everything, I’m slowly dying and I really can’t take it much longer, I’m going to break, no therapist can help, I’ve been trying since I was 5.😭😭😭😭 I hope y’all feel better than me.😭
