About 2 years ago, I was going through an existential crisis/depression, and being bipolar, that's not good for my health. My friends had been trying to help me, but I just wasn't connecting to anything they said. So, they ended up reaching out to my crush, who, by the way, is an amazing singer. I very specifically remember her singing this song, and I was just so taken by these lyrics. As they say, "When you are happy, you appriciate the music. When you are down, you connect to the lyrics." I just lost my grandfather 3 days ago. Today was his funeral, He was such an incredible man. The type of guy who was able to touch and change hundreds of lives. He came down with so many different diseases that I even have memories from when I was little of him being rushed to the hospital in an ambulance because he couldn’t breathe or couldn’t move but he fought them all so he could come home and be there with his family. Sadly after fighting all those years he was tired and he didn’t have the energy anymore. So he passed on leaving behind all his pain and suffering. And I’m happy I really am..it’s hard to see someone you love suffering. But although I know it’s selfish I can’t help but miss him and think about how much I still want and need him. This song makes me think of him because I would do anything to still have him in my life. I know he’s in a better place but it’s hard to say goodbye. (Btw if you made it this far thanks for listening. I really appreciate it) Edit: I want to thank everyone so much for being so incredibly nice. 5years passed?how wasn't yesterday?

its been 4 years since my dad died i barely have any memories of him apart from him being lifeless on the floor this song has helped me so much to deal with that pain even though it will never leave it has helped me get youst to the pain

Now the young man is 18 years old, and he have never been able to let go of the memory, of the first girl to ever said she loved him and that weren't in his family. I'm Seongmi, 18 years old, and I love dancing. Since I was a little child, I always wanted to become a professional dancer. There was nothing that made me feel happier. But I never really had a chance to pursue my dream. One day I went to see a show. I heard of it from a poster in the subway. And when I read ,,Streetdance", I knew I had to see it. So I bought a ticket. On the day of the show, I was so nervous that I thought about just going back home, but I'm glad that I didn't. The show was so great!! I felt like I was in a whole another world where nothing negative exists. For once I was able to forget about all my problems, all my worries, and just enjoy watching some of the world's greatest dancers and artists do what they're living for. They were all so amazing, but there was one particular person who caught my attention even more than everyone else. Her name was Minzy. The moment she first entered the stage, I immediately knew I wouldn't be able to forget her ever again. She had the most beautiful smile and she just radiated an incredibly positive aura. I was so captivated by her that I kept blushing whenever she looked at me. I sat in the first row, only a few meters away from her, but I wished I could've been on stage with her. After the show I looked her up on Instagram and followed her because I didn't want to miss anything she posted anymore. I bought another ticket and so it came that I went to the show again a week later. After the show I stood in front of the building, a bit lost because I didn't want to go home yet. And then it happened. Suddenly, she stood right next to me with a group of her friends. I got so nervous that I fainted and fell to the ground. Some employees helped me inside and they sat me down and gave me a glass of water. I told them the reason for my sudden dizziness and they thought it would be a good idea to introduce me to her to show me that she's just a normal person. And then there she was, standing right in front of me, smiling at me, thanking me for enjoying the show so much and hugging me. Then she went back outside. No one understood why I was suddenly tearing up, but I was just so touched by the way she treated me. Later that night, I was on my way home and randomly ran into her on the street. She was so nice to me. She asked how I am, what happened and when I told her that I fainted because I couldn't believe she was standing next to me, she found it so cute that she hugged me again. Then we went to meet up with her friends and I spent half of the night with them. From then on I came back to the show at least once per week, partially because it was just so amazing that I wanted to see it as many times as possible, but also because I wanted to meet her again. I always waited for her at the back entrance after every show that I went to, sometimes, when it was an emergency, even on days where I didn't see the show. One day I came back to wait for her because I wanted to commit suicide because I was scared of the changes that happened in my life. I didn't know what to do so I went to her in hopes that she could help me to get rid of those suicidal thoughts. She did. She told me her own story, how she struggled a lot too in her past, but also how she got out of it again. And honestly, I'd say she saved my life in that night. I always came to her when I struggled with something and I needed her advice or even just reassurance. Over the months, she did so much for me. And I made so many great memories with her. The connection I had to her became the most precious thing I ever had in my entire life. She means everything to me. It got far enough that I realized I have feelings for her. I'd never tell her, because she's in a relationship and I don't wanna destroy anything. I like her boyfriend. He's cool and I see how happy they are together. I could never make her as happy as he can. So I support them. Because I love her (in both, a platonic and a romantic way), and when you really love someone, you just want the best for them without being selfish. Doesn't change the fact that she has changed my life and I definitely won't forget that. She was the inspiration it took me to become a B-Girl. And without her, I wouldn't be alive anymore. Over just a few months I grew attached to her as if I would've known her for years. I'd even take a bullet for her. But now, I haven't seen her in a while and it breaks my heart not to be able to see her, talk to her, laugh with her, feel her warm embrace. I miss her a lot! And I'll need to wait until February next year until I have her back for one month. She'll leave me again on March 19th 2023, my 19th birthday. And after that I don't know when or even IF I'm gonna see her again. I wish I would have the courage to tell her how much she means to me (maybe not the part about me, having feelings for her), but even if I did, I'm not sure if she'll understand me. She's from France, we're talking in English, but her English isn't that good. I just wanna let her know who she is for me and why she holds such a special place in my heart. Maybe she would understand it then and wouldn't disappear for 9 months. I feel like I've lost part of myself because she's not here. All I want is to have her back. I wanna see her again! It makes me remember the old times with my old schoolmates. I was that boy, A long time ago I lived in Oregon and me and my brother had a really great friend. She was really cool her family was best friends with ours and we were always hanging out with each other. Well, when I was about seven years old we moved away and we didn't see them for a very long time. Two years later they were on a moving trip and the stopped through Nebraska which is where we were living. It was amazing to see them and we all had a great time. Well, the kept going but after a while, they moved back to Oregon but we didn't see them on the way back. She was at the beach with her family and they were digging a huge hole but she fell in and it caved in on her suffocating her and they couldn't get her out.
