Love the way that the persian cat stuff was addressed. We as humans need to stop breeding animals purely for aesthetics, but the medically challenged animals that we do have right now deserve to be loved and cared for by people who understand their needs. Not just those who want a "cute" animal. Love that Chouchou has his forever home with yall! 🎉
@FeenieVonKarma7 ай бұрын
I think Chouchou is cute, but on the whole I've never liked the "squashed face" look and I'm not sure why the hell people breed for that, especially when it causes so much distress for the animals involved. I've never understood it. But yes, thank you, the animals that are already here deserve happy loving homes ❤️
@giulia63445 ай бұрын
So sad they’re doing this to cats as well. Humans have messed up so many dogs already. Now the squished faces and the short legs are becoming “fashion” for cats too… it’s just upsetting.

Yes and people keep on doing it. Now there are cats with short legs squashed noses and crumpled ears! It nauseates me that people swoon over them and call themselves cat lovers!

It's so hard to let babies go after I raised them from 3 days old I can't help but to fall in love with them, so on July 22nd I received a litter of 5 kittens, on September 13th they went to an adoption center on the 14th of September they got neutered yep they were all boys, so on the 16th I visited them and they all remembered me but one of the boys was not letting me go he wasn't right I knew it and this broke my heart. So on the 17th I adoption him , at the time he got neutered he weighted 2.20 pounds that was on the 14th of September, on the 17th I weighted him and he lost so much weight he was down to 1.12 pounds. I was really pissed, hurt, angry cuz I gave the agency food and plates to feed them I told them to use 2 plates so they could all eat cuz some of the boys would push the other ones out. Well today I had my little boy vet checked he is gaining his weight back he is back up to 2 pounds. They said to just keep an eye on him. Make sure he is acting like a kitten which he is and eating good. I figured out he is only around 9 weeks old but at the time he got neutered they said 10 weeks 6 days humm clearly I told the agency the day I received the kittens and at that time they were only 3 to 4 days old. The good thing that has happened is that all the kittens got adopted through pet smart, but your right when you know there are medical issues with a kitten you can't help not to fall in love with that baby. So I will be taking little man in next month back to the vet and hopefully everything will be better and his weight will be good cuz as it stands now he is under weight.

It's always so funny when a cat activates their hunting instincts xD. As a rescuer myself, the hardest thing is not taking care of the cat, is coming to terms that they have to go one day. Finding an appropriate adopter is also quite difficult, because if one of them turns bad, you feel responsible for choosing the wrong person. I'm really happy you decided to keep that adorable snowball. A bond with a cat is truly special. I have lived with a Turkish Angora cat for 9 years now and he truly is my best friend.

Happy Sunday Hannah & Andrew. I remember the first day you told us about Chouchou. I just thought that's the way a Persian cat was facial wise. I didn't know that it was because of breeding. So a HUGE thank you for sharing that knowledge with me. 👍👍 As for the adoption notice by Andrew the first time. I just started bawling my eyes out. 😭😭 But, when Andrew came into the shot saying he was the adopter. Those tears went from sadness ones to joyful tears of happiness. You could see in all the pics of the two of them. How close they had become. So when you introduced the adopter again in this Vlog Hannah. And in stepped Andrew. Even though I knew already. Those happy tears started flowing again. 😉 BIG CONGRATULATIONS to the both of you for expanding your family again. You can see that Chouchou is just so happy with you and his fur siblings. And that's a beyond wonderful thing to see.👏👏👏

I don't think that Chouchou could have had a better forever home, to be honest. I was getting all ready to say hello on here to his new people, but I have to admit to some happy tars instead. Andrew, I'm sure you'll be the best cat Dad for Chouchou - you've got a proper little bromance going on there! Hannah, thank you for everything you've done for Chouchou since he came to you. You're spot on about Persians as a breed and I think it's awful that breeders and so-called breed standards call for these extreme deformities in companion animals. We used to have a Persian that used to be used as a stud Tom, then his breeder decided she wanted him as a pet, so she got him neutered and brought him indoors. But because he was bred with such a flat face he sounded like Darth Vader when he tried to breathe and the noise would annoy her, so she'd put him back outside in the cat run. After a while she'd feel guilty, bring him back in, then get sick of his breathing noises again and the cycle kept getting repeated continually. A friend of mine who is sadly no longer with us had been asking for him for a long time when the woman decided to give him up to my friend telling her he was fine with other cats, but when she got him home and into the room she used to introduce new cats to her existing ones from (it had a mesh door so everyone was safely separated) he launched himself at the mesh, all teeth, claws and spitting when one of her cats came to say hello. There was no way this cat could live with multiple other cats, so he came to live with us. From that moment on he became a house cat, living with our other cat, who was also a Persian, but not with such a drastically short face. He was never put outside for his noisy breathing again, but the poor thing was so screwed up that without provocation he would launch himself at people and sometimes our other cat, as they walked by - his eyes would literally turn from blue to red and he looked possessed. But he stayed with us until his last day on earth and we have his ashes with us, along with those of the two that came before him.

I had to give him up because the Persian in him made me severely allergic. It was heart breaking but the local Feral Cat Association, which at the time, I was a member - one of the ladies took him He loved to mother the kittens and help them adjust. She was so happy for her little buddy that helped her. He was in his element. It made giving him up not hurt so much, knowing he had his mission in life, and loving every minute of it. Tosca was a Lonnie tunes, high octane Siamese who did not walk- he bounced. A cuddle bug in the morning after waking me up to wash my face. His antics were epic. I still miss that orange tabby tornado who briefly lit up my life.

You are the perfect parents for Chou Chou and now he can help educate others about the problems with intentionally breeding brachycephalic cats and dogs.

I'm so glad you're keeping him. Yeah, every once in a while foster fails happen. It's okay. I'm so glad he gets to keep his bond with you two and your pets, and that he's with people who will care for his medical needs.

Foster fails are the best! I had a long-haired black and white cat that lived til his 16th birthday. His name was Pharoah but his nickname was ShooShoo because he reminded me of Pepe Le Pew!! Have a wonderful life Chouchou!!!🤗💖🍀🐾🌈☮️🇨🇦 Our Sincere Sympathy on the sad loss of your precious Eloise. Love & comfort from Dobby 🐈🐾 and me.🌹😔🌹

I'm so glad Chou is staying with y'all; I was worried about you finding an adopter who would be comfortable with all of his medical needs. He's in the best, most capable hands. Also, thank you for caring about how you represent brachycephalic breeds to the public. You are the perfect family to have a Persian because you won't romanticize the suffering and health issues that come from this disgusting breeding practice. Keep trusting yourself, Hannah, and know that you use your platform responsibly and set an amazing example for others.

Thank God! This was meant to be. Chou Chou feels important there and he works hard. I am over the moon! Thank you so much. By the way, my first video was Ferguson. Both cats surprised all of us in so many wonderful ways. LOVE TO EVERY BEING IN YOUR HOME!!!❤❤😂

There is a saying in Finland: a loved child has many names (rakkaalla lapsella on monta nimeä). When you gave us all Chouchous nicknames, it made me think of that. He is clearly loved by both of you. Congratulations to your whole family.
