Bro Pewdiepie is right. If Chris goes on a diet for 6 months and trains he will genuinely look insane, he has a good frame and has bigger legs then ppl who actually go to the gym lol. i think his problem is that he thinks he needs to have the perfect diet in order to lose weight. He can still eat family mart chicken and lose weight lol. i wish someone can tell him the concept of calories in calories out.

I don't think he has enough motivation. Like, we'd watch videos from the TT boys and other friends about whatever adventure they're on, and I would hear off-hand comments from one of them saying Chris vanished to grab a snack, or Chris was eating some junk food as a replacement for breakfast or something along those lines.

@@nmc400 Its possible though with motivation. Not everyone is motivated enough to give up indulging in food as part of their lifestyle. You can treat yourself every now and then, but you have to be strict with monitoring what you eat every day, and schedule time to train.

Naw yeah Chris is just very extrinsically motivated on this. Needs to find a thing he loves to do almost every day that makes it inconvenient to fall back on old habits. Training for performance and letting the "aesthetic" and health goals come as a by-product would be the play in my books. I could see him as a rower if he has access and he doesn't have any water-related hesitations

The only times someone will lose weight and get in shape, is when they themselves are going for it. No announcements, no creator clash boxing, no big news about it. You just need to go on the adventure due to personal intimate reasons. Maybe you really hate how hard it is being fat, not looking good in clothes, constantly tired, always sweaty and oily, etc. Or it could be some deeper motivation like wanting to live long and mobile enough so you can be there for your wife and kids in your old age. Only then is when someone who's fat / plus size will make a difference. Otherwise, it will just end up halfhearted and no permanent big changes come out of it. I know this because I used to be like Chris too (body shape), and the stories at the gym are always the same. Of course, they're all just cordially joking in the video as friends, and I totally get that.

You can eat whatever you want... if you can burn it off. The thing is, Chris does work out, but the thing that cripples his success is the sheer amount of cheese he eats. The fried chicken isn't healthy, but it is mostly protein. I remember he said on Trash Taste he actually gained 4kg during the last Cyclethon. That's when carbohydrate loading has gone too far. His alcohol intake is also way too high. He's eating too many energy jellies, as a single one has 180 calories, and Chris has several per day, which adds up to 1200+ calories on top of his calorie-dense meals. Chris is likely consuming 5,000+ calories per day (probably more), which is almost on par with the diet of a strongman (the current world's strongest man, Mitchell Hooper, only consumes around 5,500 calories). Chris' diet doesn't reflect the daily endurance he puts his body through with this Cyclethon. He has insane calves, either genetic or proof he was a very active and sporty child. He needs to eat more protein like beef/fish/chicken, more vegetables, more eggs, pasta, potatoes, rice, yoghurt, berries, avocado, etc. You don't need to spend 25 hours a day - 8 days a week in the gym. Felix even says it in this video: "Do like 30 minutes." He was referring to cardio. Doing 30 minutes of cardio per day can massively increase your cardiovascular health, which helps with weight loss. Chris doesn't need the secret sauce, he just needs to invest in himself more.

If you struggle with obesity or overweight you should watch Penn Jillette's Big Think interview from 2016. It's not about fitness or exercise, but simply about changing your eating habits. I wasn't super fat, but I was afraid of diabetes and I was carrying around 60lbs of unnecessary fat at the time. His 'diet' was pretty extreme. He ate nothing but potatoes for over a year. The idea is that you eat boring unappetizing/boring food to wean yourself off all the shitty unhealthy junk you're used to craving. The goal is to stop craving all these shitty foods that are designed to be super palatable. After I saw the interview I decided I would do something similar, so I only made homemade food at it was all made from scratch. I didn't know how to cook so I figured I may as well get more proficient in the kitchen as well. I made everything from scratch(no store bought sauces with hidden sugars), no premixed spices(usually those are mostly salt). I made boring fibrous bulgar wheat and barley wheat for carbs(fiber is satiating) and lots of vegetables and protein. Initially the meals where pretty bland, but I learned tricks for adding flavor with healthy ingredients like garlic or ginger. And it really does work. There are lots of ways to lose weight, but this method not only makes sure you lose weight fast, but it also makes it so you stop craving shitty food and it's effortless to STAY lean afterwards. I remember that it was grueling to not drink any sugary soda or junk the first few weeks. Eventually you'll stop feeling like you're depriving yourself all the time. It stops being a constant struggle to stay away from shitty food. After 18 months I tried drinking my favorite soda once again. By then I hated it. It didn't taste good anymore. And I had lost 75lbs(34kgs) in the first 6 months. I occasionally eat junk food now, but keeping the weight off isn't difficult at all. I got into weight lifting and exercise AFTERWARDS. Exercise is healthy, but you can't outrun a bad diet and it's not essential to losing weight. Some people may spread themselves thin(not a pun) trying to fix their poor eating habits at the same time as they are picking up new fitness habits. Chris may be one of those who would benefit more from solely focusing on addressing his bad eating habits above anything else.

Chris clearly has a good frame underneath to hold some mass. His legs are massive and hes got a fairly broad (pun intended) frame for a guy about 5 10" Bit of discipline and consistency and he could look great. Im naturally skinny so keeping weight off is easy, building muscle is less so. Chris and i are two sides of a coin 🤷‍♂️

My boyfriend was around 100kg and what he did was going to walk everyday, around 5-8kms then started jogging. Bear in mind he was still eating his usual stuff that he likes and whatnot, but he just kept that exercise routine everyday and he lost about 25kgs in 2 months. Even i was surprised. So yeah, you can still eat whatever you like provided you keep on exercising and burning more calories than you took in.
@Tomiply
@Tomiply Ай бұрын
Hmm, that's usually not how it works. I've always heard it's 80% diet and 20% exercise from pros. Maybe your boyfriend subconsciously starting eating less after he started working out, because it would be impossible to lose 25KG in two months just from walking and jogging if you don't change a single thing about your diet.
@LizzieBeezie
@LizzieBeezie Ай бұрын
@@Tomiply Nope, we were eating the same everyday, aka 3 meals and he went jogging everyday for these 2 months, EVERY DAY. Granted everyone's metabolism is different for sure, the moment you burn more calories than what you're taking in, you'll eventually start losing weight or fat. Sometimes you might look the same but you've got less body fat and more lean muscles. Sometimes you can just lose weight like how my boyfriend did. Oh and for context he used to do powerlifting when he was younger, so when he lost weight, the funny thing was that his abs started to show on his belly 😂.

Was he in the process of gaining fat to 100 kg or was he stable at 100 kg? If he was at 100 kg for quite some time, I guess it could happen.

@@askatamvan1054 No he was stable at 100kg and no one thought that he was at 100kg tbh. Even i was shocked but since you live with someone, you don't necessarily notice the change sometimes coz they don't appear as obvious. But yeah, 2 months for him was a big thing . Due to covid he gained weight again but will have to find a way to get him back on track since he was kinda demotivated afterwards.

Chris, if you ever want a workout where the only thing you need is a set of 5lb hexagonal dumbbells and about 15 sq feet, look up the Blood and Sand workout. It was designed for the original main actor of the show. It's brutal but effective. My advice is if you try this, take your time. Otherwise you won't be able to walk for at least a week LOL.

@arashitempesta
@arashitempesta Ай бұрын
skill issue, if you like food so much you should be able to replace it with other alternatives that cause a calorie deficit. a proper diet is not starving, just lowering carbohydrates and upping protein is enough to cause visible results if you overweight. For the rest you can still eat fried food and such just not as often.
