He described the whole league. People have been saying how the NBA is one dimensional for a while. How many teams don't play with 4 players just standing out by the 3 point line? U.s. basketball been getting cooked with back door cuts for quite a few years now. That was something that is missing from the league in general in players. That's what made the Dream Team stand out so much and why the All Star game has gotten so awful. Players knew how to get a feel for each other and knew how to create those kind of plays because they new several facets of basketball. As Jordan said, "you have to be able to plug into each other..." And it showed in how good all star games were back then. They were like great musicians who could come together for a jam session and make great music. Because they knew music so well The all star game now has a bunch of good musicians who can play a solo that they've done before because they now the music. But aren't good at just getting together and showcasing an example of how elite basketball can be because they don't have sheet music.

Lots of issue with the offense, the big man (Embiid) refuse to go into the block and pound the basket , instead trying to stand on the perimeter like a damn guard. They dont have a primary ball handler nor an offense, everybody trying to wait for the 3pts, no ball movement or set play whatsoever. 2nd unit is better defensively with AD and Bam, but they were even MORE limited offensively.

It's called a showcase for a reason. It's not the actual Olympics. Steve Kerr is gonna use this to test lineups, strategies, and different offensive and defensive sets to see what does and doesn't work. He's also not about to use his best sets before the Olympics just so every team can counter it immediately. The players aren't going to go 100% in the showcase, either. That would be dumb. They're exhibition matches used to let players get a feel for the different rules, garner more hype for the Olympics, and to make some bread

I hate that the NBA has developed this weird fascination for "Small-Ball" when the sport of basketball clearly favors taller players

So we in Australia won’t face the US on their terms we will play Australian basketball, that’s the only way we have a chance. Playing the US on their terms their is no chance. It’s going to be an interesting Olympics, the US should win but it may be closer than you think.

No doubt? Don’t be so sure. Broussard is correct, our game today is not diverse, it’s all about the 3 ball. If we win, it’ll be by single digits.

You can’t run an offense like that without a true point guard. This team is running the Lebron accidental basketball. Bron wants shooters lol

Because of the evolution of the game and rules changes, our players don't know how or are unwilling to play great team defense as effectively as some international teams. While Team USA's offense may look very different from other teams', or even boring, the problem with letting these games get "too close" is definitely defensively. Of course careless turnovers don't help.

Despite the 6 point win this game was never in doubt. US controlled the entire game. They had a window of bad basketball in the 4th with turnovers other than that they dominated the game.

So because they aren't winning the way YOU want them to win, it makes them seem vulnerable??? 😂😂😂😂😂 Do you see who's actually on this damn team ? This is the ONLY instance where having the most talent will indeed make you the winner

The reason the US plays like they do is to avoid injuries. The Olympics is a joke to them. It's a warm-up for the NBA season. That's how they see it. For the other countries, this IS what they play for. They care way more about this than they do the NBA season.

Australia doesn't really have a lot of shooting in their roster. Team USA has a "starters problem". They look way better when the 2nd unit comes in. Or if Lebron and/or Embiid sits down.
