+Samuraisahsah I think that is just something that humans are capable of. We like to make excuses because we don't want to believe the truth about how evil we can be, but denial won't help. We need to find real solutions, take responsibility for our actions, and put consequences on those who refuse to take responsibility for theirs. I am not sure Chris Brown really felt the responsibility when he made this video. I don't know him so it's just my opinion, but imaginary ghosts and goblins don't get him off the hook.

Yes. There's a biological difference. Men are stronger, therefore hit harder. If a woman hits a man, it might hurt but not as much. A man would never be concerned about dying at the hands of a woman because she hit him. Women cannot say the same thing. Therefore it's a coward move and whenever a man is violent towards a woman, you can consider that cowardice. I bet Chris Brown wouldn't get into a fight with another man. Men like him only beat women because they know they can't fight back. When I would get into fights with my brother when we were little, and I felt it escalated, I would do anything to stop it because he was younger and smaller than me, and I was not going to take advantage of his weaker state of being to cause him harm. Only cowards, narcissists, psychopaths and abusers take advantage of somebody else's weakness and react in such a violent way.

This is definitely a problem. Reading the comments makes me ashamed to be part of the human race. More people are making excuses rather than understanding. The excuses are the problem. As someone who has been a victim of domestic violence, it is only an excuse for everyone else, but if it happens to those making the excuses that's different. It's not though.

@• b u b b l e s • Gender matters because there's a biological difference between men and women. Men produce more testosterone which among other things makes their skin thicker and more resistant to injury plus it is what makes men, as a general rule, stronger than women. Chris is aware of that, that's why he wouldn't mess up with a man or hit another man. He's a coward. He only beat her up so badly because he knew she could not fight back. Otherwise, explain to me, why don't we see the pictures of him being hit, kicked and beaten up? A men can stop a woman from hitting him very easily. A man who abuses a woman just by the nature of her weaker state is a coward and most likely a narcissist /psychopath.

+chicken nugget He is still human! When are you people going to realize that he is a human being. He has feelings, he's young. He apologized for his mistake multiple times. The victim, Rihanna has even forgave him, so why can't you? For anyone to say that he doesn't deserve to be forgiven is just hateful, and also delusional. He didn't put his hands on you, why is it still so important still? It happened over five years ago. It surprises me that the media only realizes his abusive crime. What about Emma Roberts? She abused her boyfriend in 2013. No one talks about that! Also, when is someone going to mention how Marilyn Monroe was beaten with a bat by her abusive mate? Oh! That's right, because both of those situations didn't involve an African-American. If you think race doesn't play a factor in how the media portrays these events, then you are wrong. To all of America, get over yourselves and stop talking about an event that happened over five years ago, that had nothing to do with you! Instead of focusing on the negative events Chris Brown, or anyone, had done. Why don't you talk about hall of the Charity events Chris attends? Oh, I forgot, in America's media we only want to bring out the bad in people. Chris Brown is a talented young entertainer that doesn't want to be remembered because he "beat up Rihanna." I feel sorry because he has to deal with being in thus public every second of his life, with past events being thrown in his face 24/7. Way to go guys, ruining a 24- year olds life. Grow up for a change!

He did tell her to get out the car, and even opened the door for him, and she said she wasn't going anywhere and I guessed that's what brought the violence on, you can so tell he is bipolar is all over his actions and it's even in his face, just look at him, it's crazy how they didn't find out he was bipolar until now, it's dangerous to have him running on the loose without any medicine. And I truly believe she hit him first and just like the other person said there is absolutely no reason why she would admit to it and it's fine that she doesn't, he still shouldn't have hit her the way he did, but people need to realize it is none of their business, I'm so glad they finally worked it out and even dated again.

Kudos to Chris. He handled that in the best way possible. I hate the fact that people try to pull things out of him, try to get him fired up and mess with his head. Yes, he made a mistake. So what? Everybody's done something in their lives they should be ashamed of. Nobody's perfect. It takes a man to admit that he made a mistake and apologize for it. Not one person on here knows this man's life, so anybody that judges him should take a good look in the mirror tonight before they go to sleep. Open a bible and read Matthew 7:1-3; "Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?"

What a lot of people don’t understand is people react to things when they’re constantly provoked. Before talking watch his documentary because obviously some of you don’t even know what happened before. They were at an award show and had a couple drinks therefore he said they were a little drunk before the car ride. When Chris stopped to get gas she had his phone and saw old messages between him and a girl when he pulled off and started driving that’s when Rihanna started attacking him. She spit on him , tried to turn the stirring wheel to crash the car, try to take the cars keys and tried to scratch up unreleased music. I’m not saying that any of this justifies him hitting her. But coming from a women do not expect to put her hands on a man and him not doing anything. And for those saying oh it doesn’t matter you shouldn’t put your hands on a women, it goes both ways don’t put your hands on a man. They were both in the wrong and they were both young. people think they are so perfect but they aren't actually always quick to judge somebody like chris im not perfect either but let the man live his life why give a fuck about something that happened years ago, im pretty sure we have all done worse so let God do the judging

No one was present when this happened , no one should be beaten - but only they knew what happened and there is always two sides to a story .

Doesn't matter. He's not forgiving. It's so telling in what he said. Instead of owning up to what he did he said "what had happened" instead of "what I did"

I find it funny how every comment says he wasn’t hurt by being grabbed at the balls from females who clearly wouldn’t know. I’m not in any way justifying Chris’s actions, but I can confirm the fact that having your balls squeezed hard DOES HURT. Please refrain from downplaying that, especially considering that it locks down certain motor functions to a certain degree, which could have gotten them both killed.
