Nintendo might be more inconsistent than most at pretending they care about social issues. Besides Tomodachi Life, every time I want to give Nintendo kudos for un-censoring Vivian's gender identity in the Paper Mario: TTYD remake, I have to also remember that in the NSO version of Paper Mario "64," the star that helps Mario is still called "Twink," probably because something as simple as changing a name would be too much effort for Nintendo's latest half-baked official emulation attempt.
