SEATTLE - May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and one voice speaking clearly and widely on the subject belongs to Lily Cornell Silver. The 20-year-old Seattleite and college student is also the daughter of the late Chris Cornell and music manager Susan Silver. What a compassionate, caring, intelligent and beautiful young woman. Turning her own grief and traumas into something positive to help other people. When things in life are tough, it's so easy to shut down. Lily has worked really hard with her own mental health to be in a place to show that we all have a lot to learn about ourselves and each other. Such empowerment and grace from Lily. Reminds me of her wonderful mom. Lily is changing the world, one open conversation at a time. And this reminds me of her dad...as he changed the world through his music. So ,so happy more n more youngsters are talking about mental health I .suffered 40 years with mental health illness .addiction I've always been brought up to be ashamed .family members friends . So glad things are changing thank you 🧡💛💚
