I applaud the producer of the video for not diluting the message of the song by making it a sappy look the life of Chris Cornell. The video shows War, violence, rescue and protest in impoverished Middle Eastern countries (which is what the song is about). I think that makes the video more potent and important in the discography of Cornells music. It shows the world as he left it, and it doesn't paint it in a good way. It's like a way of him telling us to be good to each other from beyond the grave.

This song is so powerfully poignant to me. My husband is Kurdish Syrian and I am American. I feel his pain whenever he worries about his homeland and I have friends from Syria. They endured so much. God bless this planet. Mankind has to be better.

I was never a groupie but he's someone I listened to since I was a kid and never grew out of. At 9 years old I was listening to Audioslave in my dad's car & at 19 years old I was heartbroken to hear his passing. I'm binging on Soundgarden & Audioslave currently & discovering things I haven't heard in a decade or ever.

Chris Cornell is an underrated member of this movement and there are several reasons for this, among them: He was the pathfinder of Grunge SOUNDGARDEN was the first band to have a signature and to sort of authenticate this term grunge that didn't even exist before. He formed TEMPLE OF THE DOG which was a tribute to Andy (another underrated grunge band due to his early death) and with Eddie Vedder, which after this band, allowed the formation of Pearl Jam. And perhaps the most underrated reason of all is that Nirvana put grunge on the rise from SEATLLE but there were bands with better and much richer content than them. Cornell was more poetic than the Beatles, heavier than Black Sabbah and with a vocal timbre compared to Freddie Mercury. He was a musician with a combination of excellent vocal, melodic and artistic quality. NO ONS SINGS LIKE YOU ANYMORE.
