Chris Hansen on 'To Catch a Predator', Boondocks, Caught with Mistress, Arrest (Full Interview)

3 жыл бұрынVeteran journalist Chris Hansen came through for his first-ever VladTV interview, where he spoke about growing up in Chicago and being inspired to be a journalist as a teenager after the murder of Jimmy Hoffa. Hansen went on to speak about working at NBC starting in 1993 and dangerous aspects of the job, and then he spoke about being the host of the highly successful sting show, "To Catch a Predator." He explained how he was scared during the first episode, but things quickly took off, and they were busting all kinds of people, including a former Texas Assistant District Attorney, who committed suicide. Elsewhere in the interview, Chris reacted to "The Booty Warrior" from the Boondocks sending him a message, and he also addressed being let go from NBC and Dateline. I had no idea that Hansen is so hard boiled. At first he seems like a soft preppy but by the end of it he's explaining to Vlad that sometimes in life you might get shot and that's just the way it is.

Not at all. I think vlad was brave to ask him these questions. It's what makes the interview more interesting. I hate interviews where the interviewer just kisses up to the interviewee. Besides, Hansen has asked way more embarassing questions to all the caught preds in order to humiliate them.

A lot of people really overlook just how famous and renown Chris Hansen was for all of his work, and not just for TCAP, that doesn't even begin to cover how many criminals he has helped catch, and how many investigations he has been a part of and closed with success. He is a hero, and a legend.

You know, we've seen historically that most personality types don't answers these types of questions very well. I was honestly surprised to hear Chris remain so humble when answering questions that require him to acknowledge some events he's clearly not proud of. My respect for him kinda grew because of that. I already held him in a high regard because of his work against predators. This interview raised that regard even further.

Chris looks great. You cannot say everything he covered is 100% the way it went down but that is fair enough, he has a right to protect the more sensitive matters of his life. You cannot doubt his professionalism on camera and some of the work he has done is pioneering. Nice to see him looking so well and I hope he will be involved in another big project very soon.

It’s baffling watching all walks of life from your neighbor to a respected rabbi to fireman not just the statistically creepy dudes that show up…. You never know what walks among us, people we know, love and grew up knowing and look up to & secretly what their intentions are and what double life they have behind the scenes. It must be SHOCKING when these people are broadcasted on national television when it’s someone close to you & humiliating it must be for the families. Their life as they knew it is OVER their families, career, reputation is forever tarnished. It’s a psychology I will never understand nor will there be any rehabilitation in my opinion for predators.
