He probably doesn’t a chance for a best supporting actor nomination, but I thought he was incredible. Cruel, darkly funny, sadistic, cowardly and kind of tragic. A lot of actors have tried to capture that Heath Ledger chaotic energy of the Joker and Hemsworth is the only one who comes close. He is having the time of his life.

Maybe, supporting actor does tend to be a very weak category. This year, it was oddly stronger than it’s been in the past, but this year was different.

It was the best performance for a villain I've ever seen. Better than Heath Ledger's Joker in my opinion. If he doesn't get nominated at the very least, I will be very disappointed. Amazing actor and this is his breakout role. He has the looks of Brad Pitt, but even Brad Pitt wouldn't be able to do what he did here.

Dementus was awesome. The little shrug he gives Furiosa spoke volumes. Like all these homicidal bikers worship me and she doesn't even give him a blink and he knows she knows it's all a big crazy act.

“Dim but pretentious” is the best description I’ve seen for the character. As someone who loves the MM movies, it was good to see something a little lighter than the usual deadpan absolute brutal lunatic.

If Ryan Gosling could get a nomination for playing a clown in Barbie, I don't see why Chris wouldn't have a shot at a nomination as well. He was a scene stealer everytime he was on screen. Easily the best character, and performance, in the whole film.

That time lapse shot of dementus though while that brutal murder is happening? And how f*cked up he looks when it ends? I thought the end of the movie was incredible cathartic actually, because of how blunt it was about revenge or brutality not really being cathartic at all to the people committing those acts at the end of the day
