As a lifelong Chris Isaak and Silvertone fan, who has been to concerts and met him (omg swooooon) I can tell you that this song, while it is amazing and definitely his most famous, is not even close to his best song. Please do a deep dive into his stuff, even if you don't react to it (but please do, I would watch! ) you will be a lifelong fan, I promise !

If you haven’t seen Chris in concert you should . I seen him in Canton Ohio on July 15 2022 he was fantastic. He does a tour every year he notifies his followers when and where. Go goes all over the place.

If you like the way that Chris Isaak sings, then you should also listen to the legendary Roy Orbison. Roy wasn't anywhere near as pretty as Chris, but his voice was amazing, and he popularized this breathy, soaring vocal style long, long ago. (Try "Only The Lonely" "In Dreams" "Crying" "Shahdaroba" or "Oh, Pretty Woman" for starters.)

Amazing song. He's a really funny guy as well, he's got a really dry sense of humour and is really down to earth. I got a kick out of him being in the surreal and under-rated David Lynch horror early 90's horror movie 'Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me' as an actor playing arguably the FBI's coolest federal agent who investigates paranormal crimes. Was fun watching you melt a little listening to him. Fun reaction! Bye!

This song almost got completely overlooked. He’d released a couple of albums without a lot of interest. However, an instrumental version of this song was used in a movie and was on the soundtrack. A disc jockey liked the instrumental, so began playing it on the radio until someone called in and told him there were words, too. So, that DJ started playing the original and it caught on from there.

FUNtastic reaction! I grew up in the SF Bay Area where Chris is from. Had the honor of hearing him play on numerous occasions in small venues when I was a young girl. I was lucky enough to grow up in a musical family & enjoyed countless live performance both big & small.

Great reaction! Interesting to note though, that in this live version, he has changed some of the lyrics. On the original recording, he states what love will make foolish "people" do, but this one is foolish "lovers". I heard this originally when I was watching the David Lynch movie "Wild at Heart" back in 1990! (bought the soundtrack!)
