Right Chrisfamo! I've searched far...and compared many, and no individual performance has equaled THIS. Bobby Hatfield (and others involved in this particular event I suppose) has given ALL of us...something that is really difficult to adequately express. Your one sentence...does a great job, however.

I've seen so many females react to this recording, and almost all of them have an almost shy, blushing-type reaction. I'm a 65 year old woman, and don't try to tell me the majority of women don't have a part of them that wants to be wooed, cherished, and romance. And Righteous Brothers were among the best at doing it.

with a real entire orchestra!!! None of that filtered computer garbage, but a human experience between him, the orchestra and the audience. Or some operatic Diva singing going way off course and losing the meaning of the melody and lyrics and how they were combined. He knew it was about the song and not the singer, and he made it his own without intruding on the song's beauty and meaning itself. He ornamented, but held back knowing that the musical/emotional climax of the song is at the end, not during the middle or the entire song. Not only was he super talented, he was musically smart and intuitive, something sorely lacking today. He had one shot at it live, on national TV, and his parents were in the audience! Nerves of steel. this version is way better than the record, thank God we have this tape after some 51 years. It doesn't get any better than this!!!!!!!!!! The late Bobby Hatfield owns this song forever.

I've watched I don't know how many different reactions to this performance and I've got to say this is the first to ever simply have to listen again - immediately. More importantly I must declare this was indisputably numero uno when ti comes to emotional reactions by the reviewer. The expressiveness of the face, the way the orchestration and vocals simply took the reviewer to a place she clearly hadn't expected to be taken. More importantly, she allowed herself to just go with it. Loved it. Outstanding Bravo. I felt the joy and the pleasure. I got to see it, as well. Thank you for that most special moment. I feel like I just finished sharing a truly intimate moment. I applaud the lack of inhabitation and the bravery it takes to be in the moment.

"The Righteous Brothers” are considered by most to be the Greatest Male Vocal Duet Of All Time. I agree. Between Bill Medley’s Lows and Bobby Hatfield’s Highs they can hit every note on an 73 key piano. No other male singers can do that. Legendary. “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin” was the most played song on radio in the 20th Century. "Unchained Melody" - Bobby Hatfield Live 1965. Considered by most as The Greatest Live Male Vocal Performance In History... I agree. Bobby's use of "Runs" is brilliant. He is the master of the technique and started the trend. 7 notes just to say the word "I".... Their name came when they did a show in a smaller venue and a black man told them…. You two Brothers are Righteous. They created the sound and set the table that all Soul Music fed from for decades to come. In 1983, in Newport Beach O.C. Calif. Bill and Bobby at the Jolly Roger Restaurant . I was 13 feet away for... "Unchained Melody"- "You've Lost That Lovin’ Feelin‘" - "Soul And Inspiration".... They were perfect, awesome, amazing, incredible......

I'm now 70 years old and I'm so lucky I grew up listening to these type of men singing and wooing a woman. It's like there isn't any romance anymore

It seems like Bobby could hold a note for a long time without need for breath similar to the way some opera singers can hold a note during a performance

This song was written back in the 1950's for a movie about a man who was sent to prison and he is singing this song to his sweetheart who he is has been apart, very lonely for her and loving her from afar. There were several singers along the way that sang this song but it was not until Bobby Hatfield's rendition that it launched this song into outer space! It is still played even today pretty much at every party at least twice for the older crowd who grew up in those times (like me). It is a song that played constantly on the radio back then . It is a perfect song for slowwwwww dancing, holding and kissing! Please listen to "EBB TIDE" and "You've Lost That Loving Feeling" by the Righteous Brothers if you loved this song!

This is a vocal masterclass... Bobby Hatfield is arguably the greatest male vocalist of all time... He had it all, the looks, the voice, and effortlessly cool... Aspiring singers should watch this performance because there was no auto tuning, no cues, nothing but raw talent... Even Elvis couldn't hit these notes... The only other person with a voice of an angel was Karen Carpenter.... Never will we hear vocals like this again. This is a fluke of nature that only ever happens once... Listening to this song is a privilege... PERFECTION 👌
