There is something about JC that makes me believe He was wounded and quite discouraged from recording again. He may not even read this, but I want to let him know that he is loved, his voice is loved, and he is a great performer. For everyone that is upset with how JC is acting remind yourselves that he has always been the quieter member of the group even way back in the day. He's always been more of a mediator with the group, trying to be fair to everyone and that hasn't changed (ex: instead of picking a leader he says everyone can lead at something). While yes, maybe he's a little off because of quarantine he's not actually all that different from when he was younger. Some questions will get more out of him whereas some he has little to say but he has the biggest display of energy when he's singing and onstage, we just haven't seen that in awhile so it's weird to us now.
@ssblklyn3 жыл бұрын

I think the person interviewing JC (e.g. Lance vs. Chris vs. Joey) also influences how much information he is going to share, even though he knows interviews and everything will be posted online anyway. Of course the type of questions asked also matters (i.e. Lance might be a better interviewer than Chris, at least for JC), but I think the relationship matters a bit, too.

This JC I am hearing in this interview is a different JC from 20 years ago. As a fan, it pains me to see how he'd refuse to sing (and in effect, refuse Chris' request). But JC is not the type who conforms to expectations. Kudos to Chris for aiming the spotlight back and giving credit to that one person who deserves far more than what the labels and misplaced publicity ever afforded. I hope Chris will also take credit in putting Nsync together as a vocal group.

I'm almost 36 years old and still get teary eyed when I listen to anything by Nsync. I was obsessed with them, to say the least. I won a contest by my local newspaper and one by my school, got in arguments with my best friend over Nsync vs BSB, went to the three concerts they performed near my town and wore the same shirt for all three concerts, never washing it in between, and I still have two boxes of Nsync memorabelia in my basement. They were my world! To this day, I have never listened to a BSB song; I feel like I'd br betraying Nsync! When I was in my Nsync prime, I got to meet a girl who went on a date with JC once and you would have thought I was meeting him when I met her. Oh, my love for them runs so deep. They really were the most important thing in my life when I was a teenager. I would just give anything to see them in concert again sometime. I wish them all the absolute best!

@City Beautiful Attractions I think JC is extremely charismatic in his own way; he’s incredibly talented and a bit humble and low-key, allowing his talent to speak for itself. Sadly, Hollywood is the worst place to have a career because it thrives on being a top-notch schmoozer, ass-kisser, backstabber, a yes-man with depraved sexual proclivities and dubious (if not void) morality and convictions. Talent is simply not the recipe for fame (the Hilton girls and Kardashians as examples). I still favor JC over JT.

Also, I really do think JC was probably traumatized by the poor reception of his first album. Not only was the album poorly received at the time but many of the performances that he tried to do in the states weren't well received either and it was only while touring and going overseas that he really had a decent amount of success (just like how NSYNC started). I think he would've liked to go a lot further with the album but because of Justin's popularity at the time coupled with the general disinterest in his album he set that to the side which is really a shame. People nowadays look back at Schizophrenic and comment that it was 'ahead of its time' which I really agree with. 'Some Girls (Dance with Women)' is almost a church gospel piece when compared to W.A.P. :/

JC was at this for a very long time, way longer than any other member of NSYNC. Even when the Mickey mouse club came back with Justin Christina and Britney were cast mates he was an older member and did a season or 2 before so it kind of makes sense this is where he is at in his life now. He worked hard and reaped lot of the benefits. I don't think they planned on having a long hiatus but now that they are here I can completely understand if he doesn't want to be in the spotlight anymore. He still writes music and does his thing but he doesn't need to be in a boy band anymore and that's ok. Much respect and love. He was my favorite in the group. Cause it's not like his career was just a hobby he got bored of. I know some might say he prefers the simple life, and it could be so. But, is it really the reason? Is he okay? I just hope that he's okay, and that this loss of interest in what used to be something he loved so much is not a result of something bigger that happes behind the scenes, something that we cannot see. This is the closest thing to knowing if JC could make another album. But he said, "No way", and I just wanted to know the reason why! But that damn airplane gave JC some distraction to side-step the topic. Ughh! I wanted so badly to know what made him so hell bent on not making music for himself again. It's such a pity his talent is being hidden. Although I could understand he wants to be lay low or that he values his privacy more than anybody, it still doesn't diminish the fact that everybody misses him and wants to hear him, yet he has no plans of giving us something. And watching this, I could plainly see how low his self-esteem is. How can such a talented man be so unconfident? It's truly a wonder. And he wouldn't even sing a line from "This I Promise You"! It's a crime to hear that song with JC in the vicinity, and NOT hearing his voice. Seriously. And I already know he's a great musician. He's got a golden voice, he's a flawless performer, a great dancer, and a talented writer. But I didn't even know he wrote so many of my fave songs in *NSYNC. "Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays" is one of my fave Christmas songs EVER. It IS a Christmas classic, and I never fail to listen to it every Christmas, but I didn't even know HE wrote it. "No Strings Attached", "Selfish", "The Two Of Us", etc are also a few of my favorite songs. Seriously, how can he write those and still not give himself another album. Even just one song would suffice, JC! And when Chris told him he wrote so many great songs, his face was like, "Nahh". So much talent only he doesn't recognize. He should stop being so hard on himself. With all that said, I'm so thankful when people invite JC to do something. A podcast, duet, interview, anything. I just wanna see this beautiful human being, in any form, in any way. I miss and love him so much.

I commented about this below, but there isn't a guarantee that new album would be a "success" in that it sells well. People like T. Swift and Ariana can drop surprise albums and expect good returns because they've been big names for a while and have a huuuuge fanbase. JC is an older artist and his last big work was with *NSYNC. I think he made a decision to step back from pursuing a solo path around 2008/9, which was a while ago. if you listen to old interviews from then, he talks about being happy where he is. fans will never believe it though unless he sings I guess lol. Never say never, but I think him being featured on tracks from artists like Richard Marx is a more realistic expectation. and I'm happy he's still working in music, even if we don't get to hear/see him

I've never seen this. Wow! After watching this, I think JC seems a bit jaded by the music industry. It's sad, but I think many of us can relate to being burned out by our careers.

I feel like NSYNC totally forgot about those of us who liked them for their music. Not everyone cared about their hair.

They were a boyband. A key component to their success was the image that went along with their talent. One of the best things about Nsync was how humble they were and how they never took themselves too seriously even when they were on top of the world. Nothing wrong with fans loving their hair. (Except Diva Justin lol).

OF COURSE JC wrote ‘digital get down’ and ‘up against the wall’. 😂 (‘bringing da noise’ is an underrated banger)

This is so sad to see 😞. JC has a beautiful singing voice and is such a shame he doesn't find any joy in doing it anymore.

You guys need to suck it up and get back together. The world needs NSYNC

When Chris says "Sing it" to J.C. & J.C is just like "I don't feel like doing no singing rn but I'll answer sum questions." 😄😄😄

He seems hurt from solo album experience 😔 I can totally tell when Kris says iconic he’s like yeah sure 😢

That song Justin did for Trolls .Can't Stop the feeling. . Imagine if JC sang on that song as well. Should of been a NSYNC song 🔥🔥🔥🎤🎤💜👍

That's a very MEH song for nsync tbh.

That and ‘not a bad thing’ sound like TOTAL NSYNC songs.

JC seems so depressed and negative compared to how he used to be 😟 hes the most talented man and he just seems to have no confidence now. Its so heartbreaking. He deserves so much more recognition😢

It’s so sad that he doesn’t want to do music anymore. He has such a beautiful voice and personality! 😢❤
