When I was a teenager my parents bought me a tape-recorder and the album "On the beach". So much time have passed since. Now I'm an adult and often remember those days. The world is changing. I dare to say changing to the worse. But Chris's songs never change. Whatever mood you are you can always find one that will cure your soul.

If you look at his interviews, from the ‘80’s to now, Chris has been amazingly consistent. Humble, not making a big deal of his success - a truly individual and talented artist. Always laid back - you can’t help but like him, and his music.

the man is a GREAT artist.. love his music.. AND proud that he is of Italian heritage ( noticed the influence in much of his material)... "Christopher Rea was born on 4 March 1951 in Middlesbrough in the North Riding of Yorkshire to an Italian father, Camillo Rea (died December 2010) originating from Arpino in the Province of Frosinone".... yup... knew there was a "recognition" for me in his style and unique sound

I can remember very well when Chris Rea's "Auberge" was in the charts back in 1991(I was about 13 yrs old at the time) ... My father and uncle would play his Road To Hell album a lot in their cars or at home. I remember them talking about Chris Rea's new hit single "Auberge". They loved his new hit but they both agreed that Auberge the album was nothing compared to the Road to Hell album. Keep these fantastic interview clips coming... Many thanks.
