Many, many young women who are killed are described by their friends and family as "bubbly." Watch enough KZfaq videos and you will hear that description over and over and over. It must mean something; I take it to mean they are the kind of person who appears to put on a happy face and accept everything from everybody--which is basically a way for men who are so inclined to take as permission to mistreat them, abuse them, kill them.

I was with someone like this. I think they have the makings of being murderers, they then go through a process that leads to it but some back away, fearing they won't get away with it or coming to terms with balancing double lives. My narcissistic (now ex) husband began using steroids when our first child was still an infant then quickly spiraled into a midlife crisis- culminating in having an affair while I was pregnant with our second child with a one year old on my hip. He was 37 at the time. He went absolutely insane. So callous and cruel- when the chris watts case happened I straight up confronted him about being concerned that he would do something similar. Even though that affair was over. He called me the crazy one, of course. I don’t blame the steroids, he has an antisocial/narcissistic personality, but they definitely exacerbated the situation. He felt like he was the hottest thing walking.

The ones who "get away with it" are not included in that statistic. They only include the men who were convicted. Have you seen the number of "unsolved" homicides in America? It is very difficult to charge/convict ANYONE of murder in America. Sorry to alarm you, but this is MUCH more common than 4 per million.

I'm still wondering why this is barely discussed, hardly looked into and was basically overlooked or just something insignificant and unimportant to the detectives in that case. That's just weird to specifically look something up, especially that specific type of content for someone who had "no idea". I often think that when it comes to true crime cases and the infatuation vs interest variable in these cases, can vary depending on the individual. Adding in the mainstream media as another factor (which often tends to glorify them at times), resulting in these "copycat, money hungry, attention &/or thrill seeking" types to come out to get their 15 minutes of fame.

@@mamabear-9.18.18 I think the reason it wasn't investigated much is because Nicole Kessigner googled Amber Frey after the murders and once people figured out she was the woman Chris was having the affair with. By that time the media and public were aware there was a mistress and they figured out who she was and were tweeting and speculating that it was possible she was" the next Amber Frey" if I'm not mistaken she googled first "Who was Amber Frey" which its possible she didn't know. (Giving her age Nicole would've been around 14 when the Scott Peterson case was in the media and i was around the same age and while I remember the Peterson case I wasn't familiar with details of it or Amber Frey either ) personally if I saw people comparing me to someone i was unfamiliar with i would Google them as well to see why. As for why she googled how much Amber made on the book can't say for sure but I can't blame her either. If I realized I was suddenly going from a "regular person" to someone in the midst of a high profile case where the media and people in general are suddenly interested in what i have to say i probably would've googled all that stuff too. Can say its in bad taste but it doesn't point to guilt. Now if she had googled that stuff prior to the murders? Yeah I'd say it would be suspicious to say the least.

Yup. Did Chris really seriously believe he could walk away clean as a whistle after what he did? That part makes no sense. Scott Peterson was never weary of having a child. There’s a lot of rumors but him and Laci tried really hard to have Connor. He wanted that child, but there is an increase in infidelity when a man is having his first child bc they are stressed about it but that doesn’t mean they don’t want it. Scott is innocent. He maintains his innocence.

Both men also fit the profile for family annihilators - white men in their 30s or 40s. I also notice, I don't know if it's relevant, but both men had girlfriends who were very slender (bearing in mind their wives were pregnant).

I wondered how Watts could live with himself, having known what the unconditional love from his little girls felt like and then knowing he deliberately and painfully ended their lives (with plenty of time on that drive to find a different solution to his perceived problem). I suppose it's an indication of just how deviant they are, that they're able to live with the memories they have before, during and after the murders.
