Narcissism:
There are two types of narcissism: With grandiose narcissism we see characteristics like being extroverted, socially bold, self-confident, having a superficial charm, being resistant to criticism, and being callous and unemotional. Vulnerable narcissism is characterized by shame, anger, aggression, hypersensitivity, a tendency to be introverted, defensive, avoidant, anxious, depressed, socially awkward, and shy.

It should hurt morally, yes this is true, but in real life it's often not the case. It has been my experience that even good people can enjoy dating a married person. It turns into lust. Unfortunately, it's part of human nature to want something you can't have. I've been on both sides of the fence and it's not until you're older that you see how immature these actions are. Unfortunately I think it's a built in flaw that is part of human nature, we want that one person we can't have.

Kitty Sulivan I think you’re right on the money. When a Muslim takes a second wife, it often starts as an affair and ends up with the man having two wives. “Second wife” is spousal abuse, plain and simple, nobody deserves this type of treatment. Muslims are not the only people who are guilty of this, but there’s usually a religious component of the situation wherein the man feels like it’s okay to mistreat women because it is “The Will of God”. It is NOT God’s will that women be mistreated, anyone who believes that it is God’s will to mistreat women is ignorant and misinformed.

I listened to her interview with the police and she definitely has a lot of narcissistic traits and some anti-social traits. When talking about the fact that the wife and girls was missing she said she was going to be known as the woman who had the affair with the guy who killed his family. Also when she was asked if she knew about the pregnancy she kept denying it but then the police found out she had been cyberstalking the wife so she lied there. She also said that she wondered if Chris had been lying about the pregnancy then “what else was he lying about?”, but didn’t show any empathy for the wife or girls. She also told police she first didn’t know he was married but then they discovered that it was disclosed in the couple of first emails so that shows lack of morals. So lying, lack of empathy, and anti social behavior (secrets, engaging in office romance, and having affair) it sounds like she has plenty of questionable judgement and behavior if you ask me.

@@sharonmorine5407 I think there was a time, or maybe still is, where parents want to give their kids everything they themselves didn't have growing up. It sounds like a nice thing to do, but in the end, the plan usually backfires as the children never really grow up and are somewhat dependent on their parents. I never really grew up until I was independent completely from my parents and I was a lot happier when I was really on my own. I've dated a few "Nicol types" in my life, they are usually attractive and quite charming. They are good at getting what they want, especially from men. This is because they have learned this skill starting at a young age by manipulating their fathers.

She could care less about the murder of a pregnant woman and her wee girls. I watched her interviews. She knew all along he was married, and yes, cyberstalked Shanann. I think some of the attraction for the married man is to escape, at least emotionally, from his life with his family. His wife is associated with paying the bills, doing the dishes and all the other obligations that weigh on him. The mistress is associated with freedom, excitement, and the thrill of doing something forbidden. His wife also *knows” him - she’s not going to fall for the lies he wants to tell himself: that he’s more like James Bond than Archie Bunker. (I have a friend who says it’s taken her 30 years to understand one man, why would she want to start from scratch? 🤣)

Just watched this and your first video on the case. Subscribed! So glad you specifically addressed adultery. There is a reason that every spiritual teaching, throughout time, classifies adultery as a sin. The ruin and devastation it brings about is soul crushing. IOW, it brings sadness, unhappiness, trauma, anxiety, guilt, mistrust, etc, all of which are anti productive for a healthy human life and soul. The rampant degeneracy of our society has gotten to the point where adultery is almost accepted as normal and is shrugged off. It's not and shouldn't be. It's spiritual rot. Couple all that with personality disorders and we get a case like Chris Watts. Anyone who is engaged in adultery, either as the cheating married person or a single person involved with someone else's spouse, take heed. In addition to wreaking havoc on other people's lives, your unchecked base passions and selfishness may lead to outcomes you could never imagine.

In my opinion, it is best to avoid any type of close relationships with the opposite sex when you are married. I believe that many people who end up in workplace affairs think that just being close friends is fine and I think sometimes they really believe that they can avoid crossing that line, but end up in an affair anyways. Im not saying to completely avoid anyone of the opposite sex, but keep that red line in the distance because it's too easy for people to walk right next to it, trip, and fall over it, and once it's been crossed, it is too easy for people to cross it again. People often get desensitized to the guilt and shame.

THANK YOU! Unfortunately, men and women today think it's okay to have close friendships. But, what they don't consider is these friendships have a possibility of becoming something more. I'm not saying that platonic relationships don't exist but it's better to protect your relationship with your SO by not even starting the pattern of being "just friends" with thr opposite sex. Sad... We were friends with other couples where the woman was my friend and the man was his friend, but IMO it is best to not get too personal with the opposite sex when married. My "mentality" doesn't make me a cheater, it just makes me respectful and wise. Its not wise to pass judgement on people you dont even know just because they have a different opinion. Peoples opinions are shaped through their observations and experiences. I have had observations that have made me choose to be cautious in that area.

I think there's a difficult situation with misogyny in this case. NK was very immature, not too empathic, looking after her own interests, but it was Chris Watts who murdered his pregnant wife and children. Patriarchy doesn't serve anyone. This is a great video Dr Grande.
@pommiebears
@pommiebears 4 жыл бұрын
chokinonashes61 please explain! Patriarchy did this? Did patriarchy cause NK to sleep with a married man who had an expectant wife and children at home? Did the patriarchy control HER actions? Did the patriarchy kill Shan’ann and her children? Or, a mentally unstable, cheating, scumbag? Please don’t blame every man for what some men do. Plenty of women kill their partners too. I don’t blame other women for what certain women choose to do. You make excuses for NK. Why? She’s a geologist. Not stupid. Give her agency.....let her take the blame for her morally bankrupt decision to get involved in someone else’s relationship.

@@pommiebears It’s pretty obvious she’s talking about people blaming NK for putting some evil idea of famicide in Chris’ head; placing blame of Chris’ actions on her. Obviously her *own* actions and involvement with Chris romantically were her decisions. The point she was making is that there are unfortunate biases that point people toward ‘immoral women’ causing someone who looks to be on the surface, an otherwise unassuming and honest family man to commit a heinous crime.

I believe that there’s a component of this situation that is often overlooked, and I think it’s important that we look at this detail in depth. It is my understanding that Chris was financially upside down, that he was feeling extreme pressure from this financial situation, and I believe that this pressure was one of his motivations for doing what he did. Not a good reason, there is no good reason to do what he did! I think Chris wanted to relieve himself of his financial burdens and start a new life. Chris knew that his financial situation would only get worse if he divorced his wife, and in his mind he thought he would actually get away with his crimes. Now he’s a man of God (holding back the urge to throw up) and believes he will get out of prison on good behavior or get a new trial and be found not guilty. I got news for ya, Chris, you’re going to die in prison, if not from old age from another inmate with nothing to lose. Child killers and murderers of unborn children are often beaten and/or killed in prison. He can find God all he wants to, society will NEVER forgive him, nor will he ever see a day of freedom again. Should have received the death penalty, but, I digress...

What I've always said to women who told me they were having an affair is that, even if their grandest fantasy with the guy comes true, if he's cheating on his wife now, chances are he'd cheat on them if they became his wife too. The obvious solution might be to have an open relationship and I really wish I knew how that was done practically. I don't if some of us are just old-school or whether there's a component of personality involved but, despite the rationality of this, I have never been personally able to deal with such a thing and so I don't know what to tell anyone else. The solution I've come to, at least for now, is to avoid romantic relationships in the first place and that includes casual sex since I personally feel too awkward for that and I always seem to get attached, which precipitates the entire problem.

I think she was trying to make herself sound and look youthful on purpose to contrast with shannan who dresses up and wears makeup and spends money on nice things. She was trying hard to seem low maintenance and down to earth to appeal to chris. In one of her interviews she said how she told chris that she doesnt spend a lot of money to decorate her house and she beleives strongly “its not material things that make a house a home. Its the energy and love u put into it “ and how he just fell into her lap and gave a sigh of relief and said how shes so different. This speech to him about money being not necessary to make a happy home was very intentional and another example of her mind games and manipulation. She knew they had financial problems. And as the mistress she had to come up with a way to differentiate herself since shes not the mother of his kids. Thats what Conniving mistresses like this do. They come up with their own angle to make themself seem “special” and “unique”. Her angle was being fun,down to earth, non chalant, carefree, liked to workout,slutty in the bedroom, a guys girl (hence taking him to the car museum drag racing etc.) she was trying hard to be the whole package and her facebook stalking of shannan and seeing how she lived helped her come up with this strategy to differentiate herself completely from his wife and mother of his kids and make him feel like shes special. She knew what she was doing. And i really feel like every single thing she said to him throughout their relationship was to manipulate his simplistic mind into thinking there was something special about her. She didnt cook and she didnt have his kids. She had to come up with her own upper hand. Then the simple minded cheating spouse (chris) thinks to themself “wow ur so different than my wife” and it feels like an escape for him becauae she is purposely playing the cards to seem special and unique to him.

@MrShobar 2 жыл бұрын
The kind of behavior you describe is frequently present ("...being fun, down to earth, non chalant, carefree, liked to workout, slutty in the bedroom, a guys girl..." etc.) for normal adults in the courtship process and is not abnormal. That being said, I do agree that CW was just a simpleton before he murdered. He looked like a doormat of a husband that merely served as a set piece in his wife's incessant Facebook videos.

It is not an option, in case you are married to a person for about 20 years or more, don't love this partner anymore and this partner doesn't love you anymore, but a divorce would ruin one or both partners economically, or would destroy the working options, like if you have a joined corporation with your husband. The only thing I would say is left out would be more of an admonishing to people about how not only being involved in but also even ending any affair is not risk free and is unlikely to turn out well. A lot of times the rejected affair partner can blackmail and tell the spouse or other people who know you what happened anyways. Then the damaging secret gets out and still causes destruction. This is yet another of many reasons not to get involved with an affair.

I practise psychiatry and am a middle aged female (LOL!) I haven't seen her interviews after the murders but I do agree with Dr Grande about his assessment. I suspect she didn't have the emotional IQ or the maturity to think any further than the affair and how he might leave his wife if it worked out. I doubt she would have encouraged him to kill his family. She knew about them when they embarked on the affair, so presumably was prepared to accept they were in the background. It would be more likely he acted alone. The only thing I would add is that people who are doing things they know are not moral are highly unlikely to seek counselling until it falls apart in some way for them. He is right to say avoid affairs, but don't expect someone who has just started an affair to seek counselling. They won't, they want to do what they want to do.

Davida Kiernan Awesome! Thanks so much for both your perspectives! Just a quick question: there have been a lot of facts that have come out recently that A LOT of what she’s saying here are lies. There have also been a lot of facts that have surfaced that are very concerning to me such as her phone pinging in the area the early morning that Chris loaded the children and Shannan’s body into the truck when it had very rarely pinged there in the past. The normally also have early-morning conversations on her way to work and they didn’t that morning. She also never clocked into work on the 13th. The lies make sense to me but the ease in which she says them drudged up red flags for me...would you say that a person that stays calm when lying under very high stress situations and to me shows no moral regret for what has happened (in her interviews where she finds out the children and Shannan are gone her mannerisms and behaviour rarely change, no remorse is shown) may have sociopathic tendencies or do you simply attribute to an immaturity in understanding the consequences of their actions? It's not that uncommon. It is very sad but happens more than we care to admit This case still breaks my heart. I have a hard time trying to understand what Chris was thinking and how much Nichol "pushed " him with an ultimatum so that he ended up killing his entire family. In KZfaq unmasking Nichol series, we see that the relationship was going on longer than she admitted . In addition Nichol was looking up Shanann and Chris since 2017.

@@FreedominLove711 Perhaps. But I think she didn't get in trouble legally since Chris is the one who did the murders. There is nothing really to convict her of (or they don't have proof of anything she did that's illegal).

Dr Grande you should check out Mary Marlowe here on KZfaq, she has a lot of theories and speculations that the girl from Anadarko is in fact involved in the murders, that Chris didn't pull it off by himself.
@Adara007

Mary Marlowe has said "Chris Watts just doesn't have it in him [to murder] anyone" which is ridiculous. MM is constantly trying to blame others for the murders. The fact is that Cw has been found to be a narcissistic sociopath, and is more than capable of murder. Remember, covert narcs like him are very good at putting on a persona and he didn't just "snap", he premeditated -the murders. *Frankie Rzucek has stated that the Rzuceks are satisfied with the work investigating the murders and have accepted that the case is closed i.e. that CW is guilty. MM is full of conspiracy theories and has some paranoia of her own - she thinks Alan Vinnicombe has been hacking her devices and watching her in her shower, for a start, and she's also made unfounded accusations regarding oil field workers and frankly has recently truly gone off the deep end, psychologically. Even other KZfaq channels who have disliked her theories have become worried, genuinely so, for Mary Marlowe's physical and psychological health. I would avoid recommending anyone watch Mary Marlowe due to her denial of the situation regarding CW and her own strange claims and behaviours. Unless you're into David Icke, Mary Marlowe's not someone most would wish to watch.

I don't believe he would do it himself, but allow it, yes, and that's just as bad. Hadn't he met the mistress, none of this would happen. I think MM is on to something, and the case was never announced closed.

I think she got lied to by CW, and when she realized what he was really like, she wanted distance from him for many reasons! He led her to believe he was in an in-house divorce and she encouraged him to make a go of it with his wife.

As always, you have opened my thought process. Just understanding all of the if’s. I wish for you to have the opportunity to visit with Chris. To study, learn, and help him to understand who is was and who he could become. Maybe, with help he could be learning tool for everyone, maybe with if this could happen many things could be taught. The more we learn the more help we can share.

I really liked this video(like most of your other videos) . If you are interested and/or if you can find enough information about the incident i think it would be interstinf if you can discuss the Nicholas Ninnow case which occured in South Africa, last year. A 22 year old man, supposedly diagnosed with bipolar disorder few years earlier, who have been consuming alcohol and perhaps other drugs, raped a 7 year old in a family resturant's toliet. The mother discovered the incident, and a video was recorded shortly after the incident(while waiting for the policr to arrive) in which he can claim he is innocent (although the mother of the child found him in the act). He then claimed that since he has bipolar disorder he is not fit to stand trial, however, after evaluation the court decided he is. He then pleaded guilty in the trial he claimed that shortly after starting to rape the girl he realized what he was doing was wrong and stopped, or was about to stop when the mother found them. Perhaps it is also significant that he was engaged and his 19 year old fiance at that time, was 6 month pregnant. I don't know if you would be able to find enough information, as it did occur in another country, but i have seen a few youtubers report on this case. Is there certain mental illnesses that makes it more likely to commit sexual crimes, is bipolar disorder one of them? Or is it perhaps possible for drugs to intefere with medication used for bipolar disorder? Or is it possible for the drugs itself to change a persons behaviour in such a manner? Or is this incident unrelated to his bipolar disorder? Some, especially comments on these youtube videos reporting on the case, Seems to believe racisms was the cause, and that it is a hate crime since the man is white and the child is black. What is your opinion on that? I think hearing your thoughts on this case, or just in general on rape/sexual crimes/sexual crimes against children will be interesting, and i look foward to your future videos. (this is also known as the dros rape - Dros being the name of the family resturant at which it occured).

I never hear mention of how incredible masculine this woman was. Chris Watts’ mother was also very masculine. Shannan was not masculine. People will discuss “controlling “ women and they will describe Shannan as “controlling “ which may or may not be true. I don’t believe Chris Watts was lusting after a control freak but that, Chris Watts wanted a masculine woman. Poor Shannan was a pregnant, feminine, mommy type. Nicole was very mannish….

Men with kids who lie about the state of the relationship is a very personal topic for me. It hit home that a man I was with 8 yrs, then we had twins...and then right before our kids turned 1...found out he was in love with a coworker. Hmm... Similar right? Similar acts also. He was losing weight, got his teeth done with a gap he had, he had a car damaged in a flood and he was determined to go buy a new car one day and pushed for it all the time. So, Nicole Googled him and Shannan and saw and stalked Facebook for months before and in video surveillance there are clearly 2 people walking around putting the body in the truck and the girls. A slender shorter person with tighter fitting jeans on and then Chris. It's so obvious she helped... Likely even mentioned how it would be great if he'd leave...

You'd love my sister, this is her cycle of behaviour before & after she has slept with someone who is in a relationship: She'll phone me up, to tell me that she is sleeping with someone else's partner (male or female) & that she knows the person she is sleeping with, is in a relationship. Weeks later, my sister will call me to tell me that the partner of the person my sister has slept with & the person she has slept with are both angry with her & my sister will tell me she doesn't understand why they are angry with her, she hasn't hurt anyone, she doesn't understand what she has done that is wrong & that she feels she hasn't hurt either the partner of the person she has slept with or the person she has slept with. Then she'll demand my support & when I tell her I can't give her my support as I have been cheated on myself, she snaps & calls me all sorts of nasty names. Is my sister a narcissist &/or greedy? Am I right to not support her, when she is hurting someone else?

If one is a narcissist, wouldn’t one feel on some level that it is sort of awe inspiring that a man would eliminate is whole family “ for you” when actually he was doing it for himself? Gross.

She's a complicated one. I read somewhere she is bi-polar. When the investigators were questioning her, she played it like she was a down to earth girl, bragged about her thrift-store dresses and her Goodwill furniture, that she had her life together and she was not a material girl. But one of her first Google searches was "How much money did Amber Heard make on her book deal".
