할머니, 할아버지들은 모르는 아이들한테도 과자 사먹으라고 돈을 주기도 합니다. 아이처럼 엎혀있어서 아이한테 돈을 주듯이 준것 같아요. 귀여워서 준겁니다. 불편해하실 필요없어요. 애정 표현입니다.

Occasionally, older Koreans give candy or a small amount of money to a cute and lovable child. Don't be surprised or embarrassed. For them, such an act is a kind of expression of love and is not intended to offend you.

아는집 아이들을 봐도 맛있는것 사먹으라고 돈을 주는 한국식 사랑표현이에요. 절대 부랑아 같거나 불쌍해보여서 주는게 아닙니다.크레이머가 귀여워서 주시는 애정표현이에요 한국인의 이런 마음을 정 (jeong) 이라고해요.

As a Korean, I can tell you that the two Koreans gave your dog some money because your dog is adorable. They wanted you to buy some treats for your dog.

맞아요~ 기분 나쁘게 생각하지 마세요. 아마도 할머니 할아버지들이 강아지를 보고 웃은 이유는 당신이 강아지를 등에 업었기 때문입니다. 한국에서는 생소한 문화예요. 애기들이나 업지. 강아지를 업고다니진 않으니까요. 당신들이 당신들의 강아지를 아이처럼 업으니 아이로 인정해서 용돈을 주신것 같아요

Sometimes old adults give money to child to buy something delicious for him and this is very natural. Usually parents buy something for child or keep it to use for him later.

Yes. Elder people in korea give money to children cuz they are cute. They treated your dog as a children. Don't need to be feel bad. It's awkward though

Yes, It is their way of showing affection. A small amount of money to buy a snack or toy. It is called 용돈.

강아지 넘 귀여워요~ 😍 어른들이 계속쳐다보고 웃고 돈까지 주신건 강아지가 너무 귀여워서 그런거니 기분나쁘게 생각하진 마세요~ 😁 한국에선 이쁜아이나 강아지를 보면 먹을꺼를 준다거나 인사를 한다거나 가끔 용돈을 주시기도 하거든요. 그냥 문화차이라 생각하면 되겠네요~ 영상 잘봤어요~ 좋은추억 쌓다 가세요~ 조용한곳을 찾는다면 산이나 바다를 가는것도 좋아요~ 한국은 국토의 70%가 산이라서 근처에 산들이 널렸거든요~ 추천한다면 강원도 설악산과 속초바다를 꼭 가보세요!

한국엔 예로부터 아이에게 세뱃돈 주던풍습이 있죠 지금도친한 지인 아기나 어린이에게 돈을 주죠 지금은 점점 사라지곤있지만..그런습으로 친근감의표시로 강지한테 그런듯요^_^

It's an old Korean tradition for elderly to give pocket money to cute children or young relatives.. That's why Kramer was awarded with to green bill ~

Exactly ! Older people give out small money to young ones always. Funny part is that they considered your puppy as a little child not a dog :)

The reason why the old couple gave the money was they wanted to give some presents to the dog. It was not that you look like a homeless or anything. ---- It was simply a treat. As they were not with any proper things to treat the dog, they just gave the dog the money,, just like the way the olders give money for the children they found very pretty and cute as a treat. In Korea, Olders often do these things as a token of expressing their care-hearts towards the kids, expecting them to buy some cookies or any simple toys. // They obviously regarded the dog as a kid... like a grandson. (※ Added : I just paused the video at 10:58, & wrote the above comment. And found you somehow figured out the whole thing. lol. Hope you to have just nice , safe, & pleasant stay while in Korea. )

11:00 오해하지 마세요! 한국은 어른들이 아동에게 소소한 용돈을 주는 문화가 있어요. 반려동물이 많아진 요즘엔 동물에게 주기도해요. 결국 주인에게 가겠지만요. 노인분들은 크레이머에게 맛있는 간식이 주어지길 바라실거에요!😂

아이들이 낯선 사람이 주는 과자를 받아 먹는 게 한국에서는 자연스러운 일이라고요??. 부모가 허락한 상황이 아닌 이상 많이 불안해 할 것이고 가급적 그러지 말라고 가르칠 거 같은데요??. 그리고 그런 게 만약 한국에서 자연스러우면 외국은 안 그렇다는 건가요?. 이런 착각에 빠진 이상한 글에 좋아요 눌러 놓은 꼬라지들하며... 이만, 현실 왜곡과 국뽕에 착각하는 글 보면 근질근질 테클걸고 싶어하는 자랑스러운 조선인이었음.

@QUEEN 역시 착각하시는데, 옛날은 더 심했어요. 아이들 실종 사건이 워낙 많던 시절이라 낯선 사람이 주는 거 받지 말라는 교육을 학교에서 까지 가르쳤음. 한국전쟁 이후만 봐도 어땠지는지 아세요?ㅋ 아이들은 당연지사고 여자들은 저녁이든 낮이든 거리에서 조차 섣불리 못 다녔어요. 무려 90년대까지도. 믿기 어려우면 인신매매로 찾아보셈.

@@FightAgainstDogsPigs 너무 부정적이시네요~~ 저도 아이를 가진 부모라 약간은 경계가 될때도 있지만 대부분의 할머님 할아버님들의 호의를 볼때면 진심을 느낄 수 있어요~~ 때로는 아이에게 먹을것을 줘도 되는지 정중히 물어보곤 해요~~ 제가 어릴적에도 귀엽다고 주머니에서 꼬깃하게 접힌 돈을 주실때도 사탕을 주실때도 있었구요 어린아일 안고 있는 엄마에게 자릴 양보해주시거나 무거운짐을 나누어 자신의 무릎에올려주시는 그런 따뜻한 일들이 참 많았어요 지금은 많이 삭막해졌지만아직도 노인을 위해 자릴 양보하거나 아일위해 자릴 양보하는 일들이 있는데 왜 그걸 국뽕이라 하시는지요? 너무 날이 서있으시네요 조금만 더 친절 하셨으면 좋겠어요~~ 또 외국인들에게 한국의 좋은 인상을 심어주고 그로인한 효과는 클거라 생각해요~~

@@user-vo8qu1uf1o 현실적인 얘길하면 부정적인 것이고, 맨 위 댓글처럼 사실과 다른 얘길 하는 건 긍정적인 건가요??. 뭔가 기분 좋게 해주는 것만 보고 들으려 하는 태도가 결국 그런 무지성 국뽕에 놀아나는 사람으로의 지름길이고 이미 그런 사람들이 대부분이죠. 객관성 없는 국뽕이 뭐가 문제인지 아세요?. 온갖 잘못된 문제들을 양산합니다. 나라가 썩는다는 것이죠. 그리고 요점 파악을 못 하시는데, 맨 위 댓글은 그런게 마치 한국의 문화인 듯이 왜곡된 얘길 하고 있다는 거 아시죠?. 님도 댓글에서 그렇다는 것을 반영하듯 말이죠. 실질적인 질문 해볼까요?. 님은 모르는 노인분이 댁의 아이에게 먹을 것을 주면 무조겅 경계가 해제되시나요?. 그게 아니라면 이미 맨위 저 댓글은 사실 왜곡이고 한 편으로는 자신을 속이는 태도 아닐까요?. 심지어 음식물을 건내주는 낯선 사람이 뭔가 허름하고 없어 보인다면요?. 우리 한국인들이 어떤지 모르시나요?. 아파트 브랜드로도 갈라치기를 하고 차자랑 애자랑 집자랑 돈자랑 학교자랑 직장자랑 뭐 더 자랑할 거 없나 눈을 부릅뜨고 굶주려 있는 사람들이 얼마나 많은지 아세요? 이런 성향이 강할수록 차림새며 외모며 더 없이 따지는데 하물며 그들 자식들은 어떤 사회의식을 가졌을까요?. 즉, 상대방을 섣불리 믿어서도 안 되지만 그런 경계를 갖는 여러분들 조차도 모순, 오만, 교만이 많은 게 지금 우리 국민들의 의식 수준이라고 저는 봅니다. 그리고 이미 그렇듯 이 현상은 세대가 거듭될 수록 심각해질 것이고요. 처음 제 댓글은 이런 생각들이 반영된 건데 대댓글이 달리니 풀어 써 본 겁니다. 다시 정리해서, '너무 부정적'인 것이 아니라 현 실태를 냉정히 본 것일 뿐이라는 얘기고, 저런 허위사실유포성 사실왜곡의 오만착각교만 똥글을 보면 혐오감을 느끼는 병을 앓다보니 달게 된 댓글이며, 그렇다고해서 사실과 다른 '너무 부정적'인 얘기도 아니라는 이야기. 아 그리고 이왕 길게 쓴 거 좀 더 더하자면, 제가 왜 '국뽕'이라는 단어를 누차 사용한 지 아시나요?. 이 채널 자체가 외국인의 컨텐츠기 때문이고, '비테스조아'같은 사람은 앞서 제 댓글에서 언급했듯이 뭔가 자랑하고 싶은 겁니다. 그야말로 무지성 국뽕인거죠. 아래 어디 댓글 보니깐 역시 비슷한 얘기로 자랑하는 사람 있던데, 자랑할 것도 참 없네요. 저런 모순된 얘기나 하고, 그러다 제 이런 댓글에는 꼰대니 프로불편러니 하는 시쳇말 내뱉기에 급급한 게 보편적 실태ㅋ.

노부부의 돈을 불편해 하지 않으셔도 되요! 그 분들은 크레이머가 간식을 사먹거나 장난감을 살 생각에 작은 행복을 느끼셨을 거에요. 한국에선 사람들이 그렇게 마음을 표현하곤 해요! 크레이머가 너무 귀여워서 그 분들은 그냥 지나칠 수가 없었던 거랍니다! 결코 당신이 돈이 필요한 사람이라고 생각한 것이 아닙니다! 😊

About the elders giving Cramer money, 1. Of course, there are tons of cute dogs in S Korea. But your case is a bit different. Traditionally, Koreans used to raise babies by carrying them on mother's back (at podaeggi). (These days, not that much, though.) By you guys doing so, the Korean elders were interested in Cramer, who felt especially comfortable just like babies on mothers' back. 2. Among a bit old Korean generation, there are no total strangers, when they met people on the street. (no such a concept among Koreans), as there were only Koreans living in the Korean peninsula for more than a thousand years. So, all the people are somehow relatives. That's why the elders gave Cramer money, they considering him a relative's cute dog behaving like a human baby. You guys are foreigners. They know that. But old habits do not easily die away.

I am Korean. Korean grandmothers and grandfathers sometimes act like their grandchildren when they meet a child on the street. I think it's because every child looks lovely in their eyes. So people in other countries can be a little uncomfortable with cultural differences. Korean grandmothers and grandfathers sometimes give pocket money to a child they meet on the street to buy something delicious. These days, in Korea, the perception of dogs has become like a family, and I think Cramer is a cute dog, so he gave you an allowance to buy something delicious for dog. My English may not be good enough.😅

The old man just wanted to give your dog some money so you could buy him some treats for him. He obviously loved your dog that much. Lastly, you guys being from the U.S. obviously have an advantage in South Korea because Korea and the U.S. have strong ties and alliance in so many ways. Enjoy your stay in beautiful Korea.

강아지 한테 돈만원 물려준건, 강아지가 귀여워서 그런겁니다. 강아지 맛난거 사먹이라고 주는거에요... 보통은 손자손녀들이나 친구의 아들, 손자에게 귀엽다고 맛난거 사먹으라고 그 아이들에게 돈을 주는 것이랑 같은 맥락입니다. 업고가는 강아지를 보고 아이같은 느낌을 받으셨던 모양이네요... 부랑자 처럼 보여서 준게 아니에요...ㅎㅎㅎ

In Korea, when older people see cute young children, they give them pocket money to buy snacks even if they meet them for the first time. Then the child receives it with both hands and says thank you. The reason why I gave money to my dog was because I gave him allowance for snacks. It's a translator

Patagonia-donning outdoorsy people... you should try the mountains in and around Seoul Namsan, Bugaksan behind the Blue House, Gwanaksan down south in Gwacheon, Cheonggyesan near Gwanaksan, Bukhansan... Seoul Grand Park in Gwacheon is nice during this time of the year -> lots of maples and ginkgo trees. Do you like horseracing? there's the Seoul Race Park just a few stations away from the Seoul Grand Park on subway line no. 4... there is also Yangjae stream, the foliage there is really nice during fall... also, the Olympic Park in Jamsil is really nice this time of the year -> lots of gorgeous ginkgo trees...

Korea is very modern and advanced high tech country but also kept 5000years of history and still exist ancient temples, palaces, sights within the cities. Majority People are the highest educated people in the world, especially 70 years old or younger side. Korea' economy power this year known as world's 6th. Korea is also know as one of the safest countries, perhaps safest. No one steal your stuff left in the public places or from your pockets. You can walk in the isolated streets alone at night. Relax while in Korea and enjoy.

What an incredible city! It looks like you will have such an amazing time there. This video made me so hungry...lol. Thank you for sharing your experience. Kramer is absolutely adorable in that backpack. He is adorable just in general of course, but I can see why the older generation there wants to spoil him like a baby. If there is time to share in one of your videos the process you have to go through to bring him with you, I would love to know how difficult it is (or is not) to travel with a pet (or pets) internationally. My apologies if you have already shared this in a past video. Can't wait to see more of this series.

Hey Alis! thank you so much for watching! Glad you enjoyed this video, there will be lots more Korea vlogs in the coming days. :) As far as traveling with Kramer goes, it's certainly not easy. That being said, it is possible! It just means planning ahead, traveling slower, and maybe no staying at the hotel/airbnb we prefer. The biggest recommendation I can offer is to check the USDA page for each country. Here's the one for traveling to Korea: www.aphis.usda.gov/aphis/pet-travel/by-country/pettravel-korea The have the most up to date information on traveling with animals overseas. Do your research there for each country, then find a good vet who is willing to do the international health certificates for you. We absolutely LOVE our vet (Dr. Van Horn at Signal Mountain Veterinary Clinic), but unless you're in Chattanooga, TN too, obviously you won't be able to visit her. ;) Some vet's don't want to deal the with health certificates because it's tedious, others are happy to do so. Chattanooga isn't that far away from Nashville, and it is a place I like to come visit with the pups as well, so I will hang onto that piece of info. Thanks also for the info on the USDA page. 한국인의 특성은 빼앗기는 것을 죽기보다 싫어하지만 주는것을 매우 좋아하는 민족입니다. 어르신이 무엇을 주었다면 진짜 좋아서 주는거에요. 그래서 우리는 어른이 주면 받아야 된다 말합니다. 받는 사람만 좋은게 아니라 주는 사람도 기분이 좋기 때문이죠. 잘 받으셨어요. 그 돈으로 아이 간식 사주시면 됩니다.

보행로로 차가 다니는 경우는 특수한 경우 아니면 없어요. 저기는 보행로가 아니라 사람과 차가 모두 다닐 수 있는 도로로 보입니다 haha. 대로변은 보행로가 확실하게 있으나, 골목길에는 보행로가 확실히 구분된 길이 없는 곳이 많죠. 그냥 길가 옆으로 붙어서 다니죠. 서울이 옛날에는 차가 거의 없어서 저 상태로 건물과 도시 구획이 만들어져서 지금은 골목길에 보행로를 설치하기 어려운 것을 이해해 주세요

When you guys get to Tokyo, be sure to visit the GOLDEN GAI area near Shinjuku station. Go out the east entrance of the station (Nishi-guchi) and it is about an eight minute walk. Very cool area: small bars, small narrow walkways, and about 156 snack bars. It is the only remainder of what Ja[an was back in the 1950's. Very few foreigners see it. Photography was forbidden, though it may be allowed now. VERY well worth your time, and only takes 30-45 minutes to see it all.

한국은 기술이나 하이테크, KPOP, K드라마 이런 이미지인데 이영상 올린 시점에 힌국에 있을지 모르겠는데 한국의 가을이 정말 이뻐요. 한국은 단풍지도라는게 있습니다. 단풍이 피는 시기를 알려줌. 빼어난 단풍이 산을 물들이는걸 기온에 따라서 단풍이 울긋불긋 산을 물들이는 시기가 달라서 기온을 예측해 단풍지도란걸 만들음. 가을 한국의 산을 가보세요. 제가 생각하기에 외국인은 잘 모르는데 k푸드, k드라마, KPOP도 좋은데 비현실적인 자연을 보고 싶으면 한국의 가을산을 가보시길 추천함. 그 어떤 유명한 풍경화보다 이쁠거라고 장담합니다. 제가 지금까지 한국에서 살면서 한국하면 제일 좋은게 뭐냐고 물으면? 가을의 산을 물들이는 단풍이라 말하고 싶음. 못가보셨으면 다음에는 꼭 가보세요. 1년뒤에 방문하더라도... 세계적 화가의 그림을 현실에서 볼수 있을거임. 꿈을 꾸는듯한 느낌을 받을거라 봄. 유튜브에 한국의 단풍이라고 치시면 많은 영상이 있을거임. 그런 영상 검색해서 보시고 이번 한국 방문에서 그런 모습을 못봤다면 다음에 꼭 방문해 보시길...

Love your interpretation about Korea. I aggree they are a builder. The love defenitely grow on me since the first time I discover Korea.
