One hot topic when it comes to the 2024 Mustang is the completely digital cockpit that comes standard across all models. Replacing the standard analog gauges is a series of two screens for both the gauge cluster and infotainment in the center stack. With a major change like this, I wanted to put together an expansive video covering all the features you get with the S650’s new interior. I am 59 and was upset about the lack of real digital gauges initially but after using the digital screams for past 3 minutes months I love it. The different gauge screens that I can choose and interface various gauge packages is really great. My friends who were initially hateful about it also love it now. Great job ford.

Hi, I have also experienced the glitch too with CarPlay when I am using my phone and the navigation is on, this just completely shuts off my CarPlay audio. Hope ford brings out an update soon for it, please do also let me know if you have already fixed it. Thanks!

Beautiful sports car. Absolutely love the digital guage cluster an technology in new gen7 '24 Mustang. Kudos to Ford Motor for investing an continuous development in the vehicle. Can't wait to get my '24 Mustang GT 5.0L black on black ..w/6spd manual. 💯

The Dark Horse prem is my first Mustang AND first sports car. Important thing to know is in the front wheel well there is an opening for rocks and debris to collect in which is a problem. Might think about covering that hole with some tape or something or get some mudflaps to go over it. This is unique to the S650 and I don't know how they overlooked this.

Great video this helped me a lot. My Dark Horse has made it to my town over Christmas. Now I've been waiting for them to bring it to the dealer from the holding yard. All I know is any day now.

Awesome! Run Pennzoil Ultra Platinum or Mobil1 EP engine oil w/ Motorcraft filters always. All I use in my 3 newer Ford vehicles.

Owned a Shelby gt350 2017 and I had a 2022 mustang gt premium . I got my hands on the new s650 and it’s perfect , also the ten speed and car feel a bit different than last gen . Overall I prefer the s650 over the s550 . Everything about the new gen is perfect imo.

The glitch I come accross is having my phone connect automatically then connecting to the charger cable the audio is off until I disconnect and reconnect my phone in the car settings. also after long drives if I press the screen for anything it makes a loud glitch noise.

I just have one question, is there any way to turn off the secondary screen completely? Would make night driving a whole lot easier on the eyes. Thanks

I don’t think so, unfortunately. Just the calm screen. But you can adjust display brightness which can help with nighttime driving as well.

Even though I have the premium gt mine didn’t come with navigation which I was kind of bummed about but honestly even in my explorer that has navigation I mainly use apple CarPlay

Is it possible to turn off the animation when you change between mode? It left the driver with no info on dash for almost 3 second, so I’m curious of there’s an “off” option

My question is since there will be a lot of pressing on the screen, in your opinion as an owner does the screen feel study or does it feel like it can be easily broken if a child of heavy handed person pushes to hard?

It has always felt sturdy to me. There is a little movement if you grab the top and strong arm it back and forth, but I wouldn't worry about it.

Hit the home button and then audio from the Home Screen. Tap “Sources” and switch. I’ve had this issue when sound on my phone clicks on and boots the XM.

Okay, this is giving me a headache. The tire gauge is displayed on my front screen constantly and I want to avoid seeing this everytime I start up my vehicle. I managed to avoid seeing the 'Trip 1' information, but this is driving me crazy. Got any ideas, Chris, how I can disable seeing this? Thanks!

in the Dark Horse you can toggle out of it on the steering wheel or go to you cluster set up it's in there just have to look for it.

Press up or down on the right-side control pad on the steering wheel. You’ll be able to toggle through the different center screens on the gauge cluster. I believe one of them is blank if that’s what you’re looking for!

My 2024 mustang gt premium doesnt have the speed limit for the street your driving on like yours or others have on theres 24 gt ???

I’m not 100% sure, but if I had to guess it’d because your car may not have navigation from the factory.

@therealcervenka it's odd because I have every other feature that the premium navigation has to offer but I just don't have that specific driver assistance. Hmm could be a glitch of some sort idk lol

Yes, Active Exhaust is available on the EcoBoost!

It would be cool if Ford added more custom gauge clusters, even if they charged some money to get them. It's really cool that they have the Foxbody cluster. I know they do that with smart watches, why not for cars?

I have no problem with digital gauges. I just believe most designs could be better intergrated in the dash instead of the lazy ipad on the dash look. Saleen did a good job with the digital dash on the 2024.

I can see what you're saying. Some higher end cars definitely have a better, more integrated look. However, take a closer look at Saleen's interior.... They literally throw a fabric cover around the screen. Not my cup of tea...

@@therealcervenka I believe the ipad on the dash look will be so dated in the future we'll look back and say, "what were they thinking". Especially with the cost of vehicles today. Designers can do better.
