I made this 7up pound cake last night. God bless you! My Mama was the baker in my family and she now has dementia. Although I have her recipes it didn't taste like hers. SO I FOLLOWED YOU as you suggested! I loved my Mama's cake... BUT this was so much lighter and then hers. I immediately passed it on to my sister! Thank you so much!!!

Started using this recipe about a year ago. My family now begs me for it! It’ll definitely be on the table for thanksgiving tomorrow. Y’all: Watch the video so you’ll know the steps she took. This isn’t a throw it all in the bowl recipe. Get the cake flour. Take your time when mixing. If you follow her step by step, your mix will have the literal consistency of silk.

Ok, last night I decided I needed to try this cake. Walmart was out of flour, Swan's & extracts. My daughter said she had everything I needed. When she got home, there was only a 1/2 cup of flour left. I was not going to let this stop me. So at 10:30 at night I made my daughter take me to Von's. I was able to fine Swan's & everything I needed. To make a long story short. I finished the cake at 1:45, waited for it to cool. Had my first piece at 2:30 am. Just like you said, the cake came out PERFECT! OMG, this is a fabulous easy to follow recipe. Chris thanks so much for sharing this.

I bake the 7- UP CAKE and made your favor Caramel frosting and it was soooooo delicious thanks for the recipe. I sent the video of the cake to my daughter in California she said she was thinking about driving five hours to Las Vegas to get some cake. I also sent the video to my niece in Detroit Michigan she said she wanted to bake it for Thanksgiving but I told her to bake the cake For Christmas. Thanks again for your 7-Up poundcake and caramel recipe.

Chris, I am not a baker of sweets, but today I decided to try your recipe for a 7up pound cake. It turned out awesome. The only thing I did extra was add zest from a lemon. This is a keeper, it wasnt packy at all. Tk you

Hi Ms. Chris, loved this video... I am a baker as well. I use swan flour for my cakes and have the best outcome ever! I started cooking personally at about 12 and professionally 23 years old. Now in my 50s I've learned so much over the years and admire cooks like you and follow you all on you tube. Keep keeping it real Ms. Chris !
