Hi guys! Welcome to the 2nd episode of my new series It's Never Too Late.
I never thought I would be starting over from scratch at my age... but I soon realized it's NEVER TOO LATE to be the mom I want to be, to have the home I want to have, to be the woman I want to be. I hope this inspires you and of course, let me know what you want to see from me in the future. Love you!

Seriously I'm so tired of society making working moms feel guilty when they work hard for their family!! Im not married nor have children, but I always respect working moms!

You are not a bad mom. As you highlighted, nobody questioned your dad as a parent when he was the primary breadwinner in your family. You are a better mom than many dads out there who are not only not present in their children’s lives, they do not even provide financial support for their children’s basic needs! You are totally rocking the mom role :)

As a mom who (self) abandoned her career for her kids out of fear and guilt, I know now that love is what matters, who we are with them, and the model we set. I love the way you are mothering your girls, who clearly adore you, and wish I’d heard this message decades ago! ❤❤

Watching your videos are definitely giving me dèja-vu vibes. I too have a daughter named Chloe (and wanted to name my 2nd daughter Colette but everyone said it was too close to Chloe so we decided on Giselle). I also worked a lot as a single mom… My girls used to celebrate “Father’s Day” with me because they said I did everything a mom does and a dad does. Fast forward to them now being 25 and 20… and I recognize that I stayed strong for them, not my critics. I’m encouraged to see you fostering your children’s relationship with their father - that is so critically important for their own self image and confidence as they grow into their teen years and beyond. Thank you for sharing your story as you navigate life after divorce. There is so much more you’re going to experience and discover about yourself and the people you surround yourself with. And through it all, you find yourself stretching your capacity to love that far exceeds what you have ever imagined! You go, Chriselle!!! 💪🏻

I’m loving this series. And have to say, you’re doing an amazing job! I never understood how people can tear down mothers for working hard and yet if men do it, they’re praised as the breadwinner. I think it’s inspiring that you’re able to work this hard and be so present still.

It’s never to late to move out of your old house and start over…don’t be so attached. I felt that! This week I’m mourning my material house. Your words here have helped me realize I too will have a new place and in it everyone that’s supposed to be there will be and it will be special too. Thanks so much for these videos. They really are helping me in my season.

Reclaiming my life (and my self) was pivotal after my divorce too - I needed to do things my own way and for me. And buying a home was also healing sanctuary and a way to create a new chapter for my life. I love that you are able to support your parents and bought them a house. That's goals for me and why I work so hard!

My two boys and I lived with my parents the first 2.5 years after my divorce. My mom, when I was a kid, was a superstar stay at home mom, wife and now amazing Mimi (grandma). I feel like a constant failure compared to what she provided me. I work full-time, travel for work and I have been saving the boys’ child support for years now- so they can use when they leave my home. Balancing work, children, finances, health- single moms either rise to the occasion or crumble. It’s not for the faint of heart. I just started following, but in this very short video- your girls laugh and are silly with you, they adore you and you have a strong bond with your parents. So you’re probably crushing it. And you’re stunning.

Your story and you are inspiring! It is awesome and actually helpful you share everything in such a raw way...people who are going through a similar jouney, see the hope when things are really shown as they are. As of what a mom you are...just ask your kids and nobody else. Everybody has an opinion...strangely to me, people just express it without being asked about something so personal. Keep on going ❤

This was great. I’m an Asian American and my mom was the example for me. She was the first to graduate college and become a career woman. Growing up, she took her career seriously. I think seeing that was a good example and was the norm for me to believe that women can work and be moms and there’s no expectation to reach other than to do your best. I’m older and I realize she did all of it because wanted a better lifestyle for us. You’re doing a great job, mama! ❤

The judge of your motherhood will be your children. Just because you share for a living does not mean people who watch have insight into your actual life beyond what you choose to share, and as a result this small glimpse is not indicative of your motherhood.

You are doing what is best for your family. You are providing for the kids by working hard, and getting divorced to stand on your own two feet so that the kids can have a better less stressful environment. You are a very strong and brave mum and such a generous person taking care of everyone financially including the kids' dad. Don't listen to the negativity and keep going mama ❤❤❤ Suggestion for the soft toys - we installed floating shelves in my daughter's room to keep her toys on. When she gets older it can be other things like books and stationeries.

I’m a very traditional SAHM and feel privileged to be able to stay home w my kids BUT I know it is not a lifestyle suited for every mom. Decisions are personal and different. And it’s never okay to shame and solicit unasked advice to others. Let’s seek to understand and offer support rather than pull others down. Gosh, life is hard enough as it is.

You honestly cannot win with society. I had always worked. But when I became a mom, our family found that it was more financially sound for me to be a stay at home mom. I begin feeling so much guilt for not contributing to our finances, for not continuing my career, for wasting time & money on my degree, etc. etc.. Then on the flip side, my kids are school age and I begin working again and now feel guilty for missing out on school events, sport activities, birthdays. No matter which route a mother takes, there is always guilt and shame put on us by society. But honestly, all that matters is our families and the wellbeing of our kids.

I've always thought you were a good Mom. It's always easy for outsiders to judge others without even knowing everything. The fact that you're financially paying so much alimony for your ex husband and buying your parents a house means you're doing more than what usual women do for others. Usually it's the husband who is the provider, but instead you're taking in that role. I have so much respect for you, Chriselle!
