A new chapter called Examtaker has been added to the amazing free game that is Helltaker. The waifu packed puzzle solver only this time they added a new character called Loremaster along with some really difficult stages. At the same time also bringing back some of your old favorites like Lucifer, Beelzebub and Justice.

the sad part is that Helltaker is either stuck in eternal void or just dead from old age. there is no winning for Helltaker for he is but a mortal (with some powerful kicks and charisma to charm even the CEO of Hell).

@@Rikarikun Actually, according to the creator, Vanripper. Both endings will lead to the Examtaker timeline as so much time has passed that the original Helltaker became irrelevant. So Examtaker is canon either way. That being said, there's still 50% chance that the original Helltaker could still be in the abyss, though I doubt Vanripper will reuse him for any sequels.

As you said, Helltaker is probably still stuck in the abyss with Bellzebub, or, he could have been "reincarnated" into that demon like the game suggest. But sadly he doesn't have any of his memories, for now at least.

@@zaki7583 I believe it can only be Helltaker since he was the only one that "conquered" hell before Azazel, and since he's upgraded he could do it even better now, with this being why there's a fail safe in him: being absolutely mollified by apple pie. And I remember being said that she took the Soul from others to make the subjects, so there's a even bigger chance that Helltaker is in there.

What you said has not really much sense, since in the abyss you can't die because if I remember correctly years don't pass for the people there. Also, it would be impossible to recollect the DNA from Helltaker since he's there and I doubt Lucy would open the portal, assuming she's the only one that knows (which probably isn't). Also, yes, it is confirmed to be the Abyss timeline so nothing to speculate on that. I just think it's a random person, because afterall Helltaker was made for us, to be representing the player, so in a sense, anyone could be Helltaker, and so anyone could be 67.

For those who don't know Loremaster is Azazel, you know that angel who was always crazy about studying demons and stuff. Well this is her in the future, where Lucifer corrupted her enough to become a fallen angel, but she does not believe she is a demon, she still thinks she's working for Heaven, and she claims it was "easy to take over Hell" but this is not true as she now has robot arms, obviously failing at her attempt to take over Hell, and she also painted her horns white to appear older than she actually is.

As that loremaster is Azazel she probably could have used Helltacker as the human part in the experiment and in that way make a sort of clone of him but also with demon blood or something. He is big like Helltaker. The demon girls do also take a liking to him. Like they did to Helltaker.

I can’t help but feel that Loremaster is the canonical antagonist of this story. It doesn’t feel right that everyone obeys her. Even when Lucy was in charge no one listened to her. Besides, the group has basically split up because of her.

the tests may seem brutal but they actually make sense, they test intelligence and quick thinking more than anything else, which is what you want when creating a Frankenstein. you don't want to have created a mindless zombie.
