Not gonna lie, seeing Chris Heria struggle like he is almost a normal person felt kind good 😅and it's inspiring to see that no matter what level you're on, there is always somewhere you can go, always a new level, a new combination of skills, of muscles working together, of patterns to learn. Mad respect to anyone in gymnastics, the stuff they're pulling off while keeping a perfectly straight face is insane. (I wouldn't mind a Chris Heria/Nile Wilson crossover next time one of them makes it across the Atlantic 🤔)

Calesthenocs has been around since the romans BEFORE they started the olympics. It WAS gymnastics lol
@xprinceduranteofficial9275
@xprinceduranteofficial9275 Жыл бұрын
@@miraanda8357 , there are tons of Google articles that say gymnastics is older than calisthenics. Gymnastics has been around for more than 2,000 years, but its development as a competitive sport began just little more than 100 years ago. During the 1800s, mass and individual exhibitions were conducted by various athletic and school clubs, as well as ethnic organizations, like the Turnvereins and Sokols. Calisthenics, on the other hand, just copied the basics of gymnastics. You can also see that gymnastics is more of a complex set of movements because they are broader than calisthenics.

@@xprinceduranteofficial9275 i would think basics are what inspire complicated gymnastics but hey
@xprinceduranteofficial9275
@xprinceduranteofficial9275 Жыл бұрын
@@Oyabu... , I don't think so. You should define "INSPIRE" and look back in the past. Why do you think we got calisthenics movements today? Isn't it because of something that pre-existed thousands of years ago? Gymnastics laid out the foundation, but I do calisthenics moves once every week. I like the planche the most, but we shouldn't take away the credits from gymnastics.

I just got out of class and get the notification for this video and I almost can’t believe it. Chris has been such an inspiration for me and within the last three months I have improved my free handstand from a 7 second hold to a 33 second hold, and I have been documenting my progress. I’ve made so much more progress with his videos than I did when I was in gymnastics from age 6-12. Please upvote this comment so Chris can hopefully see it!

Gymnastics is the next level of calisthenics that I would want to combine with calisthenics. We would love to see you doing another vlog of it.

You did great, Chris. A lot of the moves are very similar to calisthenics. Love to see a part 2 🙂

Love the content! You're my new inspiration, you helped me to finally get the motivation but more importantly the discipline to keep working out! Using my body weight to work out is way more fun than weights in my opinion! Thanks man!
