Started off this day trolling around looking for a bite, didn't find much for hours, but finally some fish popped up and it ended up being a worthwhile day of fishing thanks to a few decent fish. Flutter Spoon and Doc got the bites from what turned out to be some very finicky stripers.

Try throwing epoxy jig when they are on little skinny bait great both to whip in on top or jig on bottom

How deep of water are you generally fishing when you use the flutter spoon?

They're probably on Britt herring. They've been heavy feeding on them in the rivers, making them wicked picky.

@@tolpacourt They show up after herring are done spawning. Not sure if they're baby Atlantic herring but they're the size of a finger. They call it brit season in Maine its usually what stripers are feeding on in the rivers after the herring move out.
