We would definitely love to see you stretch this gun out to a mile. Thank you for the review and feedback. We want to get you a side baffle brake to compare to and or replace the radial if you decide you like it better.

Such an amazing rifle. A co worker of mine let me handle his. Same rifle in 300WM. He has a nightforce scope. I want to say it was a 6-24x. Had a illuminated reticle that could switch between red and green. Couldn't believe how light it was for the kind of rifle it was. To rich for my blood though, I think he said it was a 5k set up. I don't hunt, he uses it for elk hunting.

Yeah i have about 4500 into mine. 300wm and it kicks like a 243

I’m left handed so I love CA but them not having 30-06 in LH but they have a 300 win mag and 308 in LH kinda blows my mind!🤯🔫👍🏼
@Yettiattack8 ай бұрын
Why anyone would spend that much on a 3006 or 308 makes literally no sense.

Put the buttstock on the ground and push down on the bipod legs. Every time I've done this, it pushed the fore end away from the barrel, so must likely if you load into the bipod you are free floating the barrel more.

Contact Score High gunsmithing in Albuquerque NM and get his proprietary muzzle brakes. Can’t beat the recoil reduction and it is not a radial type. It has ports on the sides and the top. They are the best and around $200.00

Have you done a bore scope inspection of the Ridgeline rifle?? I have. I inspected 3 brand new 7mm mag Ridgelines. I wanted to purchase this rifle. From 2 retailers. I couldn’t make myself buy it. I ordered one last week and it came in today and went to pick it up. I took my Teslong Bore scope. It was unexceptionable to buy. Tooling gouges went across 2 lands and it was ugly. They handed me a second one and same result. A 2” tooling gouge in the grove half way up from throat. It was filled with black carbon. This will be the 4 th Ridgeline that I will inspect when it comes in. It should be here September 12, 2022. Take a bore scope when you buy any long gun. Good luck. If it don’t work out when this rifle comes in, it will be my last Christensen Arms I tried to purchase. Also I drove over 60 miles 3 times one way to buy this gun. To much for to little.

No I haven't. Like I said in the video, it doesn't really concern me since the rifle is shooting well under 1 MOA. If I ever get my hands on a bore scope I'll take a look, but I don't think Christensen would replace the barrel if it's shooting within tolerance.
@alananderson2961 Жыл бұрын
It will only get worse when u put more rounds through it if it has some tooling problems. You don’t have to do anything. I’m 70 years old and I will never buy a long gun without bore scoping the barrel. I turned down 3 in 2 weeks because I looked in the barrel. I don’t want to buy a firearm and find out later I purchased a lemon, and send it back to the manufacture. You and everyone else can do whatever with your money to buy a gun your way. It’s yours to spend. I’m just informing the shooters and hunters to beware of what you are buying before raising the hood on a new rifle. I buy an automobile and I look under the hood and check the oil. Same goes for a firearm. Check the bore to see it is worth an investment. Do it your way. I don’t care what you get, but i care what I get. Bore scopes are cheap but guns that aren’t accurate are costly. Have a good day.

What kind of setup do you have for the bipod and the rail adapter???
@TrainLikeYouFight Жыл бұрын
I got the rail and hardware to mount it from Long Range Only's website. They also have a video on their channel mounting it to this exact rifle. The bipod is an Atlas with a QD lever.

Carbon fiber, transfer seat better. And surface area dissipates. So what you are getting with a carbon fiber barrel is heat transfers quickly along the length of the barrel, and is more evenly distributed. Also, for the same weight barrel, a carbon fiber barrel has more surface area therefore it dissipates faster. I can’t speak to harmonics, but have not found the harmonics to be any different relatively speaking. All barrels have different harmonics, but I don’t know that carbon viper is better.

Does it stabilize 178 or 200 gr eld-x If so which one is better?
@TrainLikeYouFight Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I haven't tested 178 ELD-X rounds yet. Just 180 SST, 200 ELD-X and 215 Berger. All have shot sub MOA and have performed very well out to 1000yds. With a 26" barrel I feel like 178s will perform just fine out to 1000yds.

@@jordanstallings8513 if I can ever get my hands on it I definitely will. 300WM is very hard to come by in Alaska since it is the go to round for hunting.

Yeah that is a super cool ammo holder what ever it is.

Video would have been better if you kept the rifle still for any period of time. How much coffee did you have before you shot this piece.
@eddielombera5862 Жыл бұрын
It’s a beaut, but having this gun made me realize how uncomfortable is to shoot a magnum cartridge through it, or any lightweight rifle.
@TrainLikeYouFight Жыл бұрын
The muzzle brake makes it shoot pretty softly. I've shot uncompensated 308s that kick more than this rifle.
@eddielombera5862 Жыл бұрын
@@TrainLikeYouFight i agree but a heavier rifle is just better. I guess I’m not at an age where I need a 5-7 pound rifle, my .300 wby Accumark has less felt recoil than my old Christensen .300 win mag.
@misunderestimated7 Жыл бұрын
Time to start shooting suppressed. I know that a can adds weight, but having this setup (I do, and got a nice bull elk a few weeks ago with it) with a can makes for an absolutely incredible mountain hunting rifle. Minimal recoil, don’t lose sight picture and can put another round on target very quickly.
