Enjoyed the review. I have a 7'6" original Flat Tracker with a Brothers Marshall 7.5" by Captain Fin. Was thinking about another mid-length and was looking at the Huntsman, Flat Tracker 2, and C-Bucket. I enjoy my FT but something just seems to be missing. Could be the fin, tried many. I surf and live in Surf City NC. I'm 62 but I'm right in there with much younger surfers. From your experience which do you prefer out of the three boards mentioned. I ride mid, long, and glider and paddle out in small to well overhead surf.

Glenn, just depends on how you want to fit it into your quiver. First off, you can't go wrong with any of the 3 so don't overthink it if one is drawing you in. I'd lean towards the C Bucket, it has a wide point forward design which makes it a paddle beast and scores a high wave count every session. The C-Bucket has an addictive glide and can be used effectively in a wide range of surf conditions, and will create more glide and speed in smaller surf than you'd think. The Huntsman is fast with a ton of range. The extra speed is noticeable compared to most single fins. The down rail design puts an emphasis on added drive and projection out of the turns.

I live on Hatteras and I am looking for a mid length in the 6’8” range. Between the C-Bucket and Christensen’s Huntsman, which do you think is better suited towards the conditions around here-especially on the days when it is our typical chest to just overhead and super hollow?

What type of fin would you use for a 6’10- 7 c bucket?

What about 2+1 or quad option? Any feedback?

We've ridden the C-Bucket as single fin, when we sized down to a 8” fin the board really came to life and felt super forgiving. If you want a more locked in ride for speed and straight lines, you could try it. It just depends on how you're planning to use it. The versatility of the single fin has been really nice though

At the time of the video a Brothers Marshall 7.5" by Captain Fin. James said he has since switched over to using a True Ames 7.5" Skip Frye and the performance is even better
