But for some reason, Christian Bale's almost 2-decade-long marriage is never mentioned as often as it should be. That's a pretty low bar, considering there are people married for 50+ years. I don't mock the 22 years of marriage, but there couples that've been married far longer than that and that's truly inspiring.

Christian Bale is my forever crush. It started with Equilibrium and never ever ended. I think the man deserves the world for the kind of joy he brings to us through his incredible talent. I feel so happy to see him in a solid relationship with a strong and wonderful person that has crossed two decades and must have survived a lot of adversities.

For me it was Empire of the sun way back in 1985. I saw him and River Phoenix and it was game over for me. Like “I’ll take these two to go”…. And Samantha got to have BOTH of them. Them AND Christian Slater. Grrrrrr 😑 I’m not saying Samantha is some raving beauty but Bale took the “safe bet” if you know what I mean.

It takes a lot of work. I work in film and divorce is very common. If you work in film, you have to really work to find compromises and communication to make it work. You also have to make sure your partner understands how the industry and career in film work. You WILL spend a long time away for work and there may even be years where you will be super busy. The marriages that work are the ones with great communication, understanding, and compromise from both sides (aka maybe take a break from film once in a while to spend time with family).

the irony is that Christian said more than a few times in the interviews that he is NOT a method actor. he just takes his job passionately but he is not 'the method' he never studied acting, he is natural, and a child actor who successfully transitioned to adult acting.

I've always liked Christian Bale but never had much of a respect for him as I do now after watching this video. Rumour Juice, you did a great job... and I concur, it's not that many men don't want to get married today, they haven't found the right partner / the right partner hasn't entered their life. 💡 If deep down inside you're a family man and you meet the right woman, having a family will bring the joys that Christian dotes about. 💍 🔔 🍼

Except for the clickbaity title in her video font. Loved this, he’s cool. And he was obviously, not trying to attack his mom physically, he only pushed her during an argument. Verbal temper issue, and minor physical situation. His family has a history of divorce so. Not surprised there would be some family disfunction.

@@misscleo378, Exactly, heard he reacted due to been provoked but had forgotten. And sadly, his mom and sister were doing something they shouldn’t. Especially, since they didn’t respect his privacy. They just sadly wanted money and didn’t care how they got it, sad for him. But they did work it out. Because they had never done that before. So must have been desperate. And too proud to ask for help or worried about looking like financial leaches, maybe.

Or he has boundaries. I don’t like others getting mad at my parents, only give me encouragement about what works for me. More listen, not fix, etc. Rehashing negatives is depressing, I am trying to guide the conversation to a better conclusion here. I want to grow, not stay stuck in what makes me angry.

Maybe look closely at what you have been gifted, Some people do not want or even like kids and to hear them say this when they HAVE kids leaves me feeling sick to my stomach. it is more authentic NOT to bring children into this world if you do not want a connection with beautiful children .
