Underrated striker. Everybody knows he was good, but nobody says he was one of the best CF of the world in his prime, maybe the best pure CF (Ronaldo was an all around player). I loved Vieri's style...he was a good runner with spaces, he got a great shot and a powerfull head shot.

Vieri is well known by football fans of the 90's and early 00's, but I think the guy is a bit underrated. When he was at 100%, no one of his era was better center forward than him. Very complete striker and a total goal machine.

i love how in old winning eleven game vieri has 97 bodybalance that he literally trashed all the defender including ferdinand, jaap stam, or maldini/nesta. all of them immediately go rolling on the floor after body contact with vieri. He has 1 and only nemesis though, Sol Campbell - 98 bodybalance

Man, I remember a time when Vieri was unstoppable. Goal from left and right! When he played, you knew 99% of the time, he would score. Definitely one of the greatest Italian strikers! Very unfortunate that him and Rober Baggio didn't win a world cup...both of them deserved it.

Negli ultimi 10 anni il calcio italiano ha prodotto attaccanti come Vieri, Inzaghi, Totti, Del Piero, Cassano, Montella, Toni, Gilardino...senza dimenticare Baggio, Mancini e Zola...nessun'altra nazione può contare una quantità così elevata di classe e fiuto del gol...e il bello è che quasi tutti questi attaccanti si sono mantenuti su livelli altissimi per oltre un decennio...

Credo che, cronologicamente, dopo Riva solo Vieri sia stato davvero fortissimo. Veloce, segnava di testa, da fuori e dentro l'area, di destro e di sinistro. Attaccante esplosivo e completo. 9 goal in due Mondiali ('98 e 2002) solo come Baggio e Paolo Rossi. Saltò per infortunio Euro 2000 purtroppo. Ebbe la sfortuna di vincere pochissimo. La nazionale di quegli anni (98-2002) era fortissima. Poi arrivò Toni (bravo, ma davvero la metà di tecnica e velocità di Vieri) e vinse il Mondiale. Questo è il calcio :-)

always love his throwing shirt celebration while in inter. it showed the he always giving all his got to score a goal. the best striker ever i ever see..... he didn't have the skill like henry.. he didn't have a world class team mate to support him like drogba have in chelsea or nistelrooy at MU. but he always find his way to score a goal and become an "almost" or even topscorer at the end of the season. maybe only shearer could be compared to him...

Veramente un gran giocatore ma c'è molta gente che lo prende in giro. Eppure è il miglior marcatore dell'italia ai mondiali (9 goal) insieme a baggio e un'altro. Se non fossimo stati sfortunati e se avessimo vinto un mondiale o un europeo in quel periodo, sicuramente molti non lo ricorderebbero come un giocatore qualunque. Solo chi ne capisce di calcio può riconoscere che Vieri è stato uno dei più grandi giocatori della serie A

Certo, anche loro...li ho dimenticati non perchè non li considero dei grandi attaccanti, ma perchè in Italia ne abbiamo avuti così tanti bravi che qualcuno me ne può sfuggire...e anche adesso sicuramente ne sto dimenticando altri...

@xbodo anche se non hanno giocato insieme quanto avrebbero potuto. Ricordo che in quegli anni per un motivo o per l'altro se c'era Vieri non c'era Ronaldo e viceversa. Sono stati comunque un grande pezzo della storia dell'inter e del calcio italiano...per questo sono tuttora i miei idoli incontrastati =) Gran bel video comunque...complimenti a chi lo ha realizzato.
