the only reason i dont see Eriksen starting is because it doesn't always look like he can play a full match, hence ETH has to be wise regarding when he should put Eriksen in the game. But everytime he's subbed on, the entire team breaths easier and gains that extra sense of control. A game that was otherwise frantic, uncoordinated, improvised and scrappy, was all turned around when Eriksen came on the pitch. Gosh I wish we could see more to him.

@@michaelkinende5790 he still almost always plays as our most attacking midfielder. Eriksen isn’t a 10 so it’s not a direct comparison that’s why I didn’t say that, but Eriksen as our most attacking midfielder instead of Bruno would be nice, Eriksen is consistent with his passing

Glad to see Eriksen get his praise. He was always my favorite player at Spurs. Lack of competition in the squad forced him to regress a bit in his career. Barcelona/Real Madrid were interested at him at a time. Then he went to the demon Conte, who doesn't know how to handle flair footballers. And of course after his health situation, happy he got to perform at Brentford, and for Ten Haag with his creative flair. Though now Man Utd have both Ambrabat, and Casemiro, should make him perform much better in a free role! Or at least backup to Bruno.

Man United need a guy like Peter these days. He can organize and direct a defense, and they don't dare not to do what he says. Many praise Keane for being this guy, but Peter Schmeichel was that guy too, Keane didn't do it alone 🙂

Dear Ten Hag.......please let Eriksen be our true nr. 10 so he can feed Højlund and Rashy with pure candy in the last 3rd. Have a double pivot of Casemiro and Amrabat behind him and Mount on right wing. This is our strongest and most creative lineup in the offense. Eriksen is pure World class with his first touch, passing and elite vision.

The midfield in the Derby has to be him, Brumo and Amrabat.. whenever Eriksen plays deeper, it releases Bruno.. this experiment of Bruno playing as a deep playmaker and Mctominey as a 10/Second Striker has clearly failed..

No its not a northern accent and secondly he been speaking perfect english this way for years. Most Scandinavians speak english well maybe its taught at a early age at schools there.

*Danish bias declared.. Should have been kept an eye from the day he scored his first Ajax goal. Similarly Højlund could have been so much cheaper if we'd been looking at him a few years ago. Considering the history of Danish players in the Prem, I'm kinda surprised we don't at least have a newly graduated scout in Scandinavia. A player or two per decade and they've earnt money on it, I don't get it. It's great for Danish football as it stands - in the sense that the clubs get millions from the 'future sale' clauses when these players go to a middleman-team in Germany, Italy or Holland before coming to the Prem. Though I will say that I think Spurs fans appreciate the lad and considering the first post-Fergie decade, I'm kinda glad that Eriksen didn't get caught up in that. I mean even Ole came out of that tainted and he was part of the Treble.

That's true as a Spurs fan. Shame Levy let a quality team under Poch slip through without silverware, him Kane, Son, and Dele in the attack were world class, and they did get to the CL final. But he's still only 31, and like Pirlo, a deep lying playmaker ages like fine wine.

We know Eriksen can't play 90 minutes, but ETH should try to start with him and find a comfortable lead before subbing him off. I don't remember Bruno having any influence on the game, or in previous games, he is so panicked in possession unlike Mr.Cool here. I would swap them around and see what happens.

Hit the nail on the head 'we need 2 or 3 chances to score a goal"... With the exception of Rasmus, the entire midfield & forward line particularly are not connected, they are not taking opportunities or clinical! Sorry to say but Rashford is just not doing enough...Garnacho was so refreshing & direct...he needs a chance. Antony too is no threat going forward but at least works hard defensively. Bruno needs to be played at no10, he is wasted on the right or playing no.8!! It doesnt work!! Our midfield needs to be Casemiro, Amrabat & Eriksen - Forwards; Bruno, Garnacho & Rasmus - both garnacho & rasmus can lay deep but in the channels for runs & keep the forward line & midfield compact. ETH has to take blame, we cannot start games like this so badly...why do we never cross the ball in attacking areas? Why do we never get the ball to Hojlund??? We have won games this season out of pure luck, or a wonder goal or opposition mistakes...that is not a strategy to build on. I dont know what they do in training but all season 10+ games it is the same - we are awful & shambolic for near 60mins of every game!!

Cannot belive Ten Hag. Has he not seen Eriksen at Tottenham? How Poch played him? He was a freaking winger at many games, and he assisted every game with insane crosses. Im tell u all. We failed big time in replacing eriksen with mount. We needed a younger version of eriksen but mount offers nothing. Eriksen changes everything when he is on field. He dominated the midfield right from the first minute. We needed de jong and don't know why ten hag signed mount.

He had 2 bad performances and got benched, Such a disgrace tbh. When Eriksen has the ball there are few who make better choices than him. In my eyes Eriksen needs to play CAM and fewer defensive roles, his vision for creative passes is godlike. Meanwhile Rashford and Bruno playing abysmally bad the last 5 games and they still get full time.

I think two players and especially one olayer would never allow United to control games and thats Bruno. The other being Rashford. I dont blame them also. They have been individual magic players since years at united,we won games because of magic they create. But passing game,they are poorest. Bruno takes too many risks and slows the game down. He isnt very mobile and doesnt have the required patience. Even in Preseason,it was weird for us to see the team controlling the game better with youngsters. Even Casemiro when he plays,he tries to transition wuickly rather than playing through the team with passes. If we play a midfield 3i of Ambrabat,mount and Erikson/Maino,we will control games better.also,the right wing is so poor,i dont know what Antony brings. I feel Maguire career has ubdergone redemption. Martinez isnt present till late on and Maguir might reignite his career. I wasnt Casemiro to be our Central defender. I think it will be great.
