When doing a search on the LDS page, there are plenty of things that are required to attain to the celestial kingdom, which is what I learned as a Mormon. There are many differing beliefs among LDS about this. It seems to depend on who you ask. I appreciate her kindness and willingness to listen. I hope she finds the true Jesus.❣

I think we and the two in this exchange will simply talk past one another until one recognizes the difference between salvation and exaltation. And yes some members are not trained apologists and won’t know the nuances of doctrine. Even more in all religions God leaves much still to be discovered and unveiled. Apologia and durbinites claim to know how to interpret sola scriptura properly and have all the answers, I find their obsession with lds members and wanting to free them from the shackles of “cult” very very very ironic.

@@HowToGetSaved...Love.Taylor no hate brother, just acknowledging irony is all. However, I don’t buy your claim. It is illogical to me that we would be in a more dangerous position than say those who deny Christ entirely. Either way I can’t hope but notice the anxiety your leaders harbor toward lds members, I see no genuine desire for the well being of others in their eyes. Only passion for pride, strokes of ego and lining of pockets. You get mad when we claim to be the one true restored church of Christ on the earth and yet do you not claim the same with sola scriptura. How daft to assert you know how to interpret all this doctrine and then say in order to be saved you must know exactly what Jesus has done for eternity. How absolutely and absurdly daft. By your standards I declare we are all worshiping a different Jesus since no man can comprehend all things.

It's sad the young missionaries are swamped with a quota to reach during the 2 year mission for men and 1 year mission for women, and they are told to engage people that you can bring in to convert and be baptized and just like the quran says don't ask questions or you will doubt and leave the faith. Their is a script that is followed generally with all these religions except Christianity. OG mormons proudly said all Christian churches on earth are apostate and as all false religions must rebrand and change with the times. Sad and heart breaking.

When she says everyone can have a chance to go to the Celestial Kingdom she is talking about the works the LDS do in the temple for people after they die. She did not disclose this point of their doctrine. I hope you will learn this point of their doctrine. This shows that they believe in works here and in the next life. There was never rest for us in the LDS church. Thank God I came out of that.

The street preacher never quotes the entire verse or the verses before and after which explains that it is by grace we are perfected in Christ. This sister is correct, the scripture is being taken out of context along with the entire verse not being used. Moroni chapter 10, verse 32-33 32 Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God. 33 And again, if ye by the grace of God are perfect in Christ, and deny not his power, then are ye sanctified in Christ by the grace of God, through the shedding of the blood of Christ, which is in the covenant of the Father unto the remission of your sins, that ye become holy, without spot.

One thing I always notice about many of these “street preachers” is that they never disclose their academic credentials (if any) during these debates with ordinary people they meet. Why would you trust someone on the street who walks up to you and declares that he knows the “biblical” gospel? As a Catholic, I am convinced that Mormons are some of the nicest people you will ever want to meet and that they are usually very sincere. You can be "saved" without a baptism, but you can't be perfected without a covenantal relationship (Baptism) with the Lord. By baptism we take on the name of Jesus Christ. That is the name by which we will be called at the last day. Jesus Christs works are perfect and by having His name upon us it is as if we lived a perfect life. He lived a perfect life for and on behalf of us. The church being the Lord's bride makes more sense when you think about the church being in a covenant relationship. That does not mean we do not believe in mercy or grace (grace just means gift). Baptisms for the dead is just one of the many gifts of grace the Lord proffers. I would say we believe in grace more than this pastor here. Who probably thinks Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Catholics etc. are being burned alive forever because they did not believe in the trinity, and they tried to do good works. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has much better doctrine that allows God to be a God of mercy, but mercy will not rob justice. Those with no faith and repentance will have to pay for their own sins. Then they will inherit a degree of glory as another gift from Jesus Christ. 1st Peter 3:19-21 18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: 19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison. 20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. 21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

Latter-Day Saints are so lucky, being part of Christ's living church, that we aren't left to our own interpretations of scripture like the rest of Christianity. I can't imagine having to nitpick interpretations of ancient writings so meticulously to try and figure out my salvation. No wonder Christianity is divided into a million fractions. She answered perfectly - everyone will be offered salvation through the grace of Christ by way of the ordinances of the gospel.

All so you may PRETEND that someday you might, perhaps, maybe, possibly become a Mormon polygamist exalted man god or a goddess wife to your Mormon polygamist exalted man god husband. To have forgiveness of sin and God’s gift of eternal life in the presence of God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, is through repentance, faith and trust in real Jesus Christ of the Bible only and not through any church. As it is written, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” (Romans 3:23) “For the wages of sin is death; but the *GIFT OF GOD* IS ETERNAL LIFE THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD.” (Romans 6:23) Jesus said, “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” (John 17:3) Jesus said, “…know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32)

At 9:07. He is misinterpreting grace as interpreted by Mormons. If you are truly converted you will act as a disciple of Jesus Christ. Too many evangelical Christians say they are saved but don't act like it outside of Sunday morning. To be truly converted the faith without works is dead. You must act like a Christian should, as Jesus would. The Grace provided is Christ is sufficient with all that we can do. I think most evangelicals would agree in principle to that.

I am always amused that such individuals make dogmatic pronouncements about the teaching of the Bible but do not state what (if any) communion they are part of.
