Yeah How our parents and grand-parents introduces Islam to us is kind of problematic so it ends up looking like blind faith. I faced the same problem for a while.

When you ask some questions and they can't answer them, they'll deliver a long speech instead of answering the question directly. These problems weren't mainstream before the whole globalization and all. Necessity begets invention and you get these intellectual answers to the questions that we now get.

I cannot relate to that. I started learning about Islam from my mother's Islamic books (tauhid, fiqh, hadith, etc.) when I was 6 years old and I studied in an all girls private school. 🙈
