On this episode of Point of Relation, Thomas is joined by Christiana Figueres, an internationally recognized leader on global climate change.
They discuss her extensive work in helping to create global regulatory frameworks around climate change, and how we can apply the power of our agency as a collective to work towards regeneration instead of creating more destruction.
Christiana and Thomas observe how our individual healing processes mirror the social transformation humanity must undergo to address the climate crisis. They explore how we can fertilize the ground of possibility and see climate change not as an inevitable disaster, but as a portal for change and an opportunity to heal global injustices.

My mother read Silent Spring by Rachel Carson and she told me all about the destruction of the natural environment more than 50 years ago. So the information was there. I could only stand by and live my life the best I could. For me, Living with humanity is like living with a collective addict. I'm glad to hear these higher level thoughts on change. Also, this lady was in a position of influence.

what christiana figueres says regarding the failure in copenhagen as resilient impetus to continue despite failure, to not accept cynic defeat, is akin to the wisdom she alluded to earlier when saying that the path from mind to heart is the longest journey one can take.... implicit in the sagacity of the statement is that the journey from heart to mind is quicker... when operating from the heart, informing the mind of what action must be taken, we're much more courageous and able to reverse or correct traumas... if the heart had to trust the mind before acting, it would be forever "on ice" or "crystallized" as thomas might say -- as that is a slow path... we might compare the mind-to-heart slow path as having to ask for permission from an indecisive troll who wants a toll to be paid before a bridge can be crossed, but whose rationale for profit creates an irrational and alienated discourse from the practicality of needing to cross the bridge...
