Here's a suggestion, have several pieces of chain as chain is cheap, then you don't have to wash the same one all the time while pouring ... you can clean them when done.

I tried this with a rope chain, not that the chain had anything to do with it. Everything looks so easy. Does your base coat have to be dry cause I ended up with a mushy mess. I could really use your expert advice as always thank you for your great videos

I think they work about the same for cells. Heat gun needs to be used with more caution because it can burn your paint easier.

What is your mix on the paint you run your chain through ... if you don't mind my asking.

1 part paint, 1 part iridescent medium, 1 part floetrol. You want it thicker so it sticks to the yarn and not drippy.

You need a basecoat, you can use rope, string, yarn, chain ETC. I use a brush on varnish or resin. Prices vary on sizes.
