My Christmas season begins at 12:01 a.m. after October 31st. I see no reason to not have a Christmas tree to enjoy as the family gathers for Thanksgiving. It just makes the seasonal feelings that much more pronounced. Most families take part in the Thanksgiving festivities of the lighting of the town Christmas tree 🌲, plus I am obsessed with decorating for Christmas and I need time to enjoy it . ❤😅

It makes everyone in our house happy! I don’t buy new things each year, but it is still magical with all the lights. We love the fall decor too, I just decorate when the kids go back to school in august. Life is too short to care about what others say about house holiday decor that doesn’t even affect the people not living in your house.

When my kids were home I always stayed home and decorated for Christmas the day after thanksgiving.Thanksgiving was always my favorite and I carried that joy into Christmas.Sadly a lot of people don’t even do thanksgiving anymore because it’s all about buy buy buy, gotta be first 😢. Now I have made myself a little 😞

I absolutely love the fall. It’s my favorite time of year but I have to admit I get excited about Christmas. My mom and family are all about spending time together. We always make sure that we celebrate Christ. Yes, we have presents too but we read from the bible on when Jesus was born, we do caroling and we adopt a family each year to give back to. There’s tons of ways to get the family engaged more in the spirit of truly giving to the less fortunate and celebrating Christ. God Bless everyone and I think we should all share our family traditions here. ❤

I just won’t skip Thanksgiving! I worked retail and was always at work early the day after Thanksgiving. After work I would take down my Fall decor and start decorating for Christmas. I don’t know how I had the energy to do it all for so many years when my son was home. But Thanksgiving was always my favorite. I know that influencers have to start early to inspire others. But the more looks I see, I prefer my traditional decor.

I love the urn and that tiny pencil tree, too! I’m going tomorrow morning to find one for myself! I spent this weekend decorating and a tiny tree in my girls’ room would be a perfect finish. *Urn* . OMG, I did the same thing with my new tree. I purchased a 5ft. cashmere tree from Big Lots because I have very limited space. The height wasn't quite enough so I added a few bricks inside the urn and around the plaster base of the tree, stuffed the rest with old brown towels. I got the height that I needed and am not losing floor space. Great Idea! Love the pencil tree in the basket as is.

When my children were little….I would decorate for fall/ Halloween 👻🍁🍂🌾🎃 🎃 While they were at School 🏫 I would clean and decorate the whole house 🏠 They would come home and be so excited to see everything all decorated… Your Decorations are So Beautiful…. I just love, love, love the simplicity of what you have done. It's reminding me of how quiet falling snow is. The soft red on the striped ornaments is just the right touch.' The room is almost daring you to try to be stressed in it. I'm an urn girl myself, so I love how it makes the tree more whimsical. The kitchen tree doesn't need any more any more than the lights. Again, quiet and peaceful. Who needs pops of color anyway?!

It all looks so magical. I usually decorate slowly throughout the first 2 weeks of November. With Canadian Thanksgiving being early October, I feel like anytime after Halloween is full Christmas mode.

When my kids were little…we celebrated Thanksgiving with all the decorations 🦃. But they all grown up now…and I now start decorating the day after Halloween. I love your videos. My style is definitely French Country or European Country. I usually put my Christmas decorations up the the first week of December. Ideally, I would put them up the day after Thanksgiving but I never seem to be able to do that.

Love your videos, Monica! 😊 I watched my first one a couple of years ago and I have seen them all! I also painted all my furniture white and walls very light. Not only does it make my house feel so much bigger and calming but the light and airy look does wonders for the flow of my home and the way that I feel in it. Holidays are ALWAYS my favorite - for the traditions that use to GROUND us .. but lately it has become so commercial and has lost every sense of the meaning… saddens me - because I am an Autumn baby - birthday Nov. 6th and that always started the Autumn festivities / the baking in the home / the planning for family and feasting .. we catered to FOOD and good family fun for thanksgiving.. and RIGHT AFTER THANKSGIVING clean up … usually the day after Thanksgiving while the leftovers being served in late afternoon- that’s when all the Christmas boxes came out and ROUND TWO of family focus fun .. kids watching Christmas movies/ parents preparing Christmas Rum Cakes / Christmas music / shopping .. aww the memories - how I miss traditional times! WE NEED TO BRING THESE OLD TRADITIONAL VALUES BACK! Also truly love your decorations - beautiful warm and inviting - TREE looks amazing in the URN - how did you get it to balance so well in there? I would love to try but feel it’ll top over! It’s not too heavy? And which urn you used for that tree? Any specific?

Ahhhhh… this comment made me get all in my nostalgic feels❤️ I miss all of that!! I wish so much it were like that now days. The urn/planter wasn’t that heavy. I found it at home depot a few years ago. Stuffed with towels to hold the tree steady. So far she’s standing straight up and pretty. Thank you for watching🥰

I always decorated the day after thanksgiving but since my daughter is hosting this year I plan to pull out my indoor Christmas decor the week of Thanksgiving. It seems also seems like the older I get the less I want to decorate with and stick with homemade items like quilts/pillows and other crafts rather than store bought stuff. I do like your minimalism So pretty
