Hello from Casper Wy. Our weather has been pretty mild this spring. My fav flowers to plant here have been zinnias (annuals here) and day lillies (perennials here). I do plant others but those are my two favorites. Because of our snow, power washing is a must each year but I do hose down everything before I can do that in the summer. Ryobi blowers are terrific, aren't they? I completely agree about downsizing. Truly helps not only the eyes, but the spirit. Best wishes!

Instead of making a to do list, I make a done list. It's discouraging when I don't get everything checked off of a to do list, but on the done list, everything on it is.. well.. done. 😊

As a quilter, I need to get my chores done and a morning walk before I can sit down and sew. Although I retired a couple years ago, this year I started to keep a journal of what I did each day (on a Dollar tree calendar 😀)just to see progress and what I’ve accomplished. Life does get in away and sometimes can be frustrating.

Hi Monica! What helps with my cleqning motivation are two things: 1) I make a to do list. I list the most important areas I want to tackle and that way I don't get side tracked. 2) I listen to either an audible book or upbeat music on my ear buds. These two things are a must before I do any cleaning. ❤

I live in a house over a hundred years old and have used Comet cleanser for years but recently switched to Bar Keepers Friend. This product cleans great, the tub and sinks look almost new!

Kudos on painting your front door! What an awesome pop of color!!!! A couple suggestions….. Painting the frame black on your “ bucket list” sign will highlight it more. You're missing out NOT taking advantage of that beautiful sunny terrace. You could pot some cactus in that area (being you live in the dessert). The stucco (?) wall needs attention. Perhaps a large sized mirror to reflect light (providing that wall doesn’t get direct sunlight) Or a large black iron grate or trellis. Bougainvillea is a tropic plant and would look gorgeous climbing up the trellis against that wall. And what a STATEMENT!!! Or perhaps a large standing fountain against that wall.

You need to replace the glass bricks with the same type of window glass as your front door. Glass bricks really date the house and they are right in the front.

It seems like a really harsh way of down size minimizing by throwing away, maybe a family who doesn’t have much might want a few pillows for their back yard, I don’t want to sound so harsh but it is really hard now in this day and age to save money for things that are special. A few Pillows might be special for others who are just getting by. Congratulations on your job I hope you enjoy it. The back yard turns out really nice. I live in Southern California and here in california the white iceberg roses do very well and they are sure blooming right now.

Hey Monica, I live in Vancouver Wa and we get a lot of rain. Today is perfect at 71 degrees and I know people will think this odd but I hate summer. It’s the heat that gets me. I love flowers as well so I plant in early spring then again in June. I love geraniums and I follow the thriller, the filler and the spiller when planting my pots and window box. Our patio is my sanctuary because it’s serene and peaceful. I love to read out there while I admire my surroundings! Congrats on the new job and I’m glad it’s something you enjoy!

I live in Australia and am currently in autumn season with alot of rain lately. I plant plants to refresh the outdoor Ares front and back. I'm a new subscriber and like decorating and propergatind plants to have more of one plant.

In Texas we have had alot of rain and it has been unusually hot this early in the season. I live in the country and have lots of trees and so I buy some inpatients and begonias for color and shade also geraniums and lots of ferns and spider plants. Everything goes in the green house in the winter. I have perennials of lantanas and variety of bulbs that bloom too. I can’t keep cushions outside because the squirrels make nests from the stuffing 😂 I do have throw pillows but I recycle the stuffing when needed and make new covers from fabric from hobby lobby or Walmart I know keeping up outdoors is alot of work and using a pressure washer for sidewalks and house/windows/furniture works well even with Dawn soap! Il I’ll check out the pool cleaner but we get get a ton of leaves and acorns!! Thanks for sharing your decorating videos
