Hi friends 🤗 Today I’m sharing a Christmas decor declutter! I’m going through all of my holiday decorations BEFORE I decorate this year. I’m doing a big Christmas purge to make the season a little less stressful. I’m also sharing how I organize and store holiday decor and throwing in some other cleaning and organizing motivation! After living retirement life while traveling in a RV full-time for 11 years, we have just kept everything simple. We did buy a new tree & the makings for a new wreath on the front door. I collected ornaments from many places we visited while traveling & just a few special ones from before retirement, with berry sprigs - now our tree is the big ticket item in the living room. The wreath on the front door & only a couple of table decor items is all we have for Christmas! Hubby is not sure about hanging lights outside (over 70 yrs old & unsure about getting on a ladder 🤔)

Great video! I like the idea of donating “before” the holiday starts to allow someone else to enjoy that item during their holiday. Always great to see your helper Bucky! I am super excited for Christmas this year because we had a granddaughter born at the beginning of August and she's going to make this Christmas extra special! I'm also starting my decorating with decluttering some of my Christmas decor before I decorate on Saturday. This was a great motivator!

I'm glad you've put a baby gate on top of the stairs, as an anxious mom I was worried in your latest videos, although I know you're carefull and always there when Maddy's moving.😊 I'm becoming addicted to your declutter videos, I was waiting for a new one!!

If you have some books that are coffee table books/general interest books, or maybe they are aesthetically pleasing/on theme for the room, you could put them on the bookshelf in the guest room, potentially freeing up space on the other bookshelf.

Would love to see a “gift ideas for baby” or anything related to that lol. I have a 1 week old who’ll be a month old almost 2 for Christmas and don’t know what to get him.

For your Merry & Bright sign, you could cut it after the ampersand to make that space shorter and then either hot glue it or tie it back together. And then if the knot bothers you, you could put a little Christmas ribbon bow over it and on the left side of the & to make it symmetrical ❤ Edit: also if you’re too nervous to cut it you could sort of fold that twine in on itself on the right side of the ampersand, tape it with like a duct tape or masking tape, and cover it with your little black bows!
