Shawn this was a great Christmas present you gave us viewers. I know Erin and your wife don’t really like to be on camera and I appreciate so much that they stepped out of their comfort zone to do this. What a lovely family you have, Shawn! This was such a touching video…seeing you all enjoying your Christmas together in the home you built, eating foods that you harvested. It looked delicious! I myself have two daughters in their 30’s. Our lives feel complete when they and all come to visit us in our 1940’s cabin on a River here in IL. Every little task, improvement, seems worth it all in these moments.

Shawn, I've watched all the episodes from the beginning of the first cabin. It was beautiful. Watched the new cabin rise from the forest floor and also the greenhouse. Cali has been by your side for most of this time. I've watched Emily with your help build her cabin. But this episode shows why you spent this time and effort to make a beautiful home. The wife and girls helping with the meal, all the fresh ingredients and the love put into the meal was beautiful. The interior is decorated tastefully, and everyone enjoys it. Thanks for allowing us a peek through the lens of your celebration. May you and your Family have a great Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

It just goes to show that the Christmas spirit is still alive and well for so many of us. I almost got teary-eyed during the Silent Night scenes. Thank you for really heartwarming video!

I feel honored for you to video your Christmas dinner and share it with all of us. Very special and I appreciate all 5 of you including Cali of coarse. That was so cute when your wife handed Cali her gift and got excited when she seen it was a new throw toy but I believe the thrower has some practicing to do SHAWN haha Cali was like dad I've seen better from you,come on are you getting to old dad 😅😂. That really gave your new cabin the completed warm cozy feeling having your family together . I absolutely love what you've built cabin and family. You've got something really special Shawn. Seeing the videos from the past Christmas' was really nice as well. The girls really respected and loved each other when they were much younger too. Loved seeing them hug,so sweet. The animal and scenery part at the end was like video post cards. All of those shots were so unbelievable beautiful. Nature is a burst of merricles flowing in front of you. Shawn, I have been following you for quite a while and let me tell you, you have worked hard and have done what a lot of us would like to do but for one reason or another we are what we are. You have a beautiful family and I hope you cherish that. I'm 85 years old and on the downhill now so cherish what you have now and remember the good times and tender moments you share with your loved ones. This was a beautiful video and yes, it brought a tear to my eye because life is short, and I know this beautiful life can't last. I wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas. I was touched by this. It felt like the culmination of everything that's gone before and the christening of the cabin and it's place in your family. I feel like I know it intimately. It's not just any cabin in the woods but one I saw built. I have an understanding of what it took and where it came from. It was an empty plot of land that grew into a warm and protective home. I appreciate the time and effort and the sharing. Others lives are made richer because of it and I feel a vested emotional interest in a place I will never visit and people I will never meet. I first stumbled across this channel just before Christmas a few years ago. I watched a compilation video of the building of the old cabin before I drove home to see my dad for his birthday (it's 3 days before Christmas) so I always enjoy the winter/Christmas videos. You are so blessed to have such a nice family! It was great that you put in the 2007 video of your daughters. I have a daughter and a son, a year apart, and they are in high school now. I've been so blessed to have them, but sometimes I get sad knowing they are growing up and someday will be on their own. This was such a heartwarming video, such a wonderful meal and everyone together. God bless you!

Chicken enchiladas for our Christmas supper was a huge hit! I'd never made them before, but followed a recipe shared by a lady from south of the border. My goodness! Between the delicious food and time shared with the family, it was one of the best Christmases ever!

What a beautiful, precious, wonderful, caring family! It was so precious the clip of the kids small and loving each other. The dinner was amazing and the cozy home. The creatures and snow was so pretty. Thank you Shawn and family for! I will never forget the Christmas with the sleigh mobile or the one with the fireplace. It's nice to see someone not afraid to stuff the bird...we were all raised for generations before with stuffing in the bird and I don't remember one person getting sick...I love your stove..my wish is to have one like that..nice video..ty
