I decided to meet New Year 2023 alone, in the forest and did not expect at all how magical it would be! While I was building the cone hut, the weather changed several times, from -10°C (14°F) to -20°C (4°F), which is why I chose to build a shelter with a fire inside and a door, because I was very warm and spend the night safely. The cone-shaped hut turned out to be an ideal option, thanks to its shape and construction scheme, smoke is drawn upwards inside, from which there is no smoke in the hut, and heat and light are supplied from the fire. I showed all the stages of construction in detail in this video, I hope it will be useful to you when bushcrafting. The cone hut is very roomy, it can accommodate an overnight stay, a table, a backpack and tools. I decided to cook a festive dinner outside on the coals, in foil, it turned out very juicy meat and fragrant potatoes.
Since New Year's Eve was approaching, in my camp I decided to arrange a real atmosphere of the New Year by decorating snowy Christmas trees and a hut with garlands.
