11 жыл бұрынThe Stroop Test involves reading the colour of words rather than the word itself. This is difficult in people who have damaged their frontal lobes because this part of the brain controls behaviour.

What does this test really measure? A higher-order cognitive functioning for sorting out the interference caused when meaning of wriiten words is automatically recognized while recognizing of the colour? Cambridge Brain Science desribes the Stroop effect as ' this effect is thought to be the result of interference from automatic word recognition; we access the meaning of words without consciously trying to.'
