This video is about my very first restoration. An old kitchen cupboard. Unfortunately there is no video material for the lower part. However, I documented the top. Recut and merged. Old paint and varnish are removed. Parts repaired and replaced. It is sanded and scratched. Finally, the old cabinet gets a shellac polish.

Очень хорошая работа, все сделано тщательно, очень аккуратно,просто великолепно.Очень хорошо подчеркнута текстура дерева.Единственый недочет,вы не довели до конца в порядое заднюю стену шкафа.Нужно было покрыть темной морилкой.Шкаф просто замечательный получился.❤❤❤❤❤

Wood grain is beautiful where sanded. The heat gun had a very hard time with the white paint. The straight-edge scraper did well where finish was thinner. Restoring olde furniture is not for impatient, impetuous or inexperienced woodworker. Thankfully you are none of these and your results speak for themselves. I take it back! Once we got past the beginning your video technique and restoration skill came through! Just felt a little rushed or choppy. I like the glamour shots of the tools shaving wood and the panoramas of the finished piece. 😻

Anstelle der Klinge bei 4:20 würde ich einen Schaber für Ceran-Kochfelder nutzen. Ist deutlich komfortabler zu nutzen und weniger Risiko behaftet, dass man sich schneidet.

Ich erinnere mich noch gut an das Küchenbuffet, weil es zu den ersten Restaurierungsvideos gehört, die ich hier bei KZfaq gesehen habe. An die wirklich interessanten Clips erinnert man sich lange.

Первая мебель, как первая любовь, никогда не забывается❤.Как ловко снимаете этот старый лак, пока вы один раз скребанули, я проскребу 4😂, но с деревом проще, а по шпону сложнее😅 Операция обновление, люблю эти толстые стекла в буфетах, заднюю стенку еще перекрасить и готов!

The back tells the story of the furniture. Restorers often do not modify it, so that a record of the furniture's past is maintained.

But you left the back and the underside completely unfinished..a quick sanding would of been nice. But other than that.. wow it looks great

There is no customer. The cabinet was an heirloom to myself. And yes. I wanted to try a shellac polish. It was the first time. I like it. regards

Как же так с лица лоск навели а внутри так ужасно, да и цвет неблагородный,дешевит структуру дерева. Но работать стали аккуратнее , особенно при разборке,без вандализма и это радует.
