Completely DESTROYED and beyond salvage! REALLY?

Restoring and refurbishing the chest of drawers! This time I will restore a completely destroyed chest of drawers. The top plate and the side parts, rear wall and floor were broken. They all had to be planed and re-glued. The drawers were repaired and got new wood because they were badly ground in. The veneer had to be replaced and large cracks were repaired.

You completely rebuild that poor old dresser.........and you showed real craftmanship in doing so. You are a rare breed of man to look at that at the start and say, "Yea, I can make it look like new. Labor intense, but you were a pleasure to watch. Thank you.

Toll, wie du hier zeigst, was man aus dem Berg alter Bretter wieder rekonstruieren kann. Das könnte auch eine gute Anregung zum Upcycling sein, weil du ja noch viel Freiheit für die Oberflächenbehandlung hast. Hat mir wieder sehr gut gefallen.

This was a real restoration of a piece of furniture that was almost completely destroyed by insensitive owners and was riddled with borers, on top. The steps you followed were simple and efficient and restored the good looks and usefulness to this inexpensive dresser. The final appearance and usability of the dresser seem a miracle. Thanks for your skill and sympathy in this restoration, a model to follow for many of us that enjoy handling wood and sharp tools.

love the restoration - if I might give 1 suggestion in editing: please leave the subtitles on for a little longer. (In film school it's suggested the length of time to equal the time it takes the editor to read through the text twice at a moderate pace.) I kept getting caught up in what you were doing that I'd not look at the subtitle at first and by the time I went to read it, it would go away before I could finish it. So glad to see another great furniture restoration channel. ♥
