Thanks for the videos Russel. I’m to the point now with nice weather I can catch brown trout every trip. Thanks for the tips over the years. Also this spring jointed rapalas have been lights out for some reason. Not many on the spoons

Great video Russell! You are definitely a pro and are super informative/helpful too! If you were to use snap weights, what is your preference for the distance between the weight and the spoon? Also, were your spoons generally less than 10 feet down that day?

I would say 6-10ft down and I would go with 8-15ft between the weight and spoon

Personal preference. Snap weights will work just fine as well but you do want as light as u can get 1/4 ounce if possible

Nice work! There’s a power plant in my area and like you said the warm water holds browns for about 8 weeks in the winter. The problem is the discharge water is crystal clear so it’s difficult to get strikes. If we go to dirtier water then the temp drops way off. So far all we do is try to find the where some of the warm water meets the dirty water but that has had mixed results. Any suggestions?

I would go through it with my boards way out and try to and run the lightest weights possible maybe even split shot so I can extend my spoons as far behind the boards as possible. I would also run my electric bow mount motor if possible to help avoid spook

1/4 ounce and 1.8-2.1
