A short little Christmas film, produced by Cathedral films. It started as a filmstrip. Story by Bill Hanna, with artwork by Gene Hazelton. Happy Holidays to everyone!

"Christopher Mouse" was written by William Hanna & illustrated by Gene Hazelton. Mr. Hazelton created Pebbles & Bamm Bamm. 😃👍

Apparently, this Technamation version (with the animated effects and camera moves) was released in 1963. The original version was a filmstrip with narration.

I saw an older upload of this a few months ago with a few differences like the Holy Night scene with lyrics to sing a long with it. This piece of media really amazes me.

I'm sure those "chimes" were for whoever ran the filmstrip projector to advance to the next frame.

Serious Animation Historians fully understand that this is a product of pre-Civil Rights era America from over 70 years ago and must be viewed in that sociological context. However your Woke credentials are noted and on record. Thank you. Gene Hazelton was a very close friend. I assure you that Gene's attitudes on race "evolved" over the years along with his contemporaries like President Lyndon Johnson and Senator Robert Byrd, and as Barack Obama's later claimed to about Gays. It's not how you begin that counts, it's how you end.
