THE PRISONER was a once-in-a-lifetime project and it's folly to attempt another telling, even with Chris Nolan at the helm. Tom Hardy stepping in for Patrick McGoohan makes about as much sense as casting Vince Vaughn to play Norman Bates.

Richard Armitage would have been great in the Patrick McGoohan role 10 years ago. Hardy honestly I don't picture as well as Armitage would have. Although I suppose he may be better than Jim Caviezel was in the 2009 remake.

Tom Hardy etc, the same faces again and again. Has anyone already noticed that the audience is more out of the story than on the „starpower “. See argyll etc. At least I’m tired of it.

Nolan is such a great director, unfortunately The Prisoner TV series was a total bore fest. If your going to remake something at least do a remake of something that didn’t suck.

British spy, yes. Prisoner is REALLY DIFFERENT from Bond, though. Twin Peaks isn't too much like Burn Notice. Men In Black isn't too much like X-Files. The Prisoner isn't too much like Bond. (although Nolan directing Bond would make for something fresh and new!)
