It's good that RCL has upgraded the crew neighborhood just as they are doing for the passengers. It is more important for the crew because of how long your contracts are.

this is a beautiful ship and also with the things they have for the crew is really something i feel more ships should do because the crew would really appreciate it and have a place to blow off steam on a hard day

Royal have done such a good job with this ship. Love that they not only raised the bar for passenger accommodation but for crew too. The bar at the end is nicer than some of the guest bars on other ships!!! Love the portholes.

this is the best crew area , we were lucky to have crew cafeteria/tiny/small buffet the crew gym never used and crew bar was cheap drinks $1.00 2003 when I was on princess, worked as musician. I like color schemes and crew areas were so beautifully designed. Royal knows how to take care of their crew for sure they just work them 12-16hrs day excluding musicians in lounges or showroom theatres.

Very nice. It's like you're getting the cruise experience and not some boring backstage industrial area. Bravo RC.

Chris, I am delighted to see that Royal Caribbean is giving its Icon staff the best treatment in the entire cruise industry. The Crew Neighbourhood is effectively a ship within the megaship! It is as big as, or even bigger than, many ships, given that Icon has about 2,300 employees and the majority of ships are carrying fewer passengers than that, right?

The Crew Deserves It. Very Nice

Wow at the Crew Appreciation Dinner! I realize this isn't a typical night, but the fact that they went all-out with ice sculptures, elaborate decorations, beautifully displayed food speaks volumes. Same with the crew areas being fitted with nice fittings and furniture that are more than worthy of guest areas. RC didn't have to do this, but that they took the extra effort and expense is impressive. All of this makes me want to give RC business over other cruise lines.

They deserve it. Every cruise I've been on I always see the crew work constantly

Hopefully this will inspire RCL to refurbish crew areas on the rest of the fleet. They deserve it!

that is highly commendable and should be THE STANDARD for other cruise lines as well. I saw a video about another company where the passengers could tell the CREW were not happy at all and appeared Stressed to the Max.

You don’t get to see cooks on break since they are cooking for the guests and crew. Lots of buffet stations to fill even the areas the guests don’t see. Nice to see a few on break.
