I really like this cabin. I think a small shared bathroom is well worth the trade-off to have a living area to yourself. Being around people all the time gets hard on the nerves. A nice place to be alone and regroup is golden. Thanks for the great video!!

During my time as a crew member, four of us would share the bathroom. It was a room with two bunk beds and a closet divided by two. Even when I cruise as a passengers, I still can feel the engines when the ship is ready to sail.❤

Good tour! Your cabin is very nice by crew cabin standards,. Surprised at how big the crew mess nd crew gym are and cool that you have the helipad to yourselves, no guests. This ship seems like a good fit for you. looking forward to European videos later this year.

I can almost smell the St. Martin sun shine. Miss cruising so much. Saw a helicopter lift off in my cabin when I was on Athem of the sea within the first 3 hours after sailing Dec 2019. Suspected one of the guest had an emergency

I'm guessing I-95 on Royal is very similar to another line that I was on and got to walk thru when they were taking us from the forward tender area to the mobility access tender area. It's pretty cool but can understand why they don't want that shown.

Wonderful vlog! Getting ready to take a London, Paris, Spain, Portugal cruise and wondered where I can find a data SIM card that will work in those ports for our cabin attendant. Any advice is appreciated and keep these great vlogs going!

Thanks Chris. Are you docked on the Dutch or French side of the island? When our flights landed we were on the Dutch side. Our beach was just beside the end of the runway where aircraft just made it over land and the runway started about 150 feet from shore. People found it "fun" to stand at the fence and watch the planes, including many 747 Jumbo jets land just over their heads. But the fence was so close that they would stand there as the aircraft would begin the takeoff roll. Mind you, the runway was so short, with a mountain at the other end, the jet engines had to be powered up quite high prior to brakes being release and the strong air coming out of the engines would push the people backwards out into the water. As many times as I saw it I was amazed how surprised they seemed. Then they would stand there again. There are you tube videos showing this, just look for "flights landing and takin-off at St Martin. The airpoet code is SXM.

Hey Chris, question about the shared bathroom, what if you want to use it for a shower how would you ensure the other person won't enter from his cabin? Can you lock both doors once inside?

I always used to find the rumble of the engines to be quite comforting and being down below the waterline (where the accommodation was located) was more stable than waving around on the upper decks. Of course, that was a much smaller ship than your floating city there.

Suggestion. Get a tension rod(shower curtain rod) and change the direction you can hang your clothes. Thanks for your videos. They are very entertaining

As a first time cruiser next month (SOTS March 9 MIA-BCN), I’ve very much appreciated seeing your views of the crew section and hearing your commentary. It gives understanding and reality to the decks below the passengers. Good to hear you’re living in the moment and appreciating it. That’s the way to go through life, although there’s nothing wrong with setting goals for the future when you can. All will be well!

Happy Saturday Chris. I know you said the shower - toilet area is small. But is it the same length as your cabin? With one side being the shower and the opposite side being the toilet? In your opinion. Are the crew areas you showed us today bigger than the other ships you've been on? Since the actual ship is bigger itself? Thanks for sharing some of the Carribean sunshine. Chris do you ever have issues with getting your "land legs" back once your contract is over, or does your body adjust pretty easily?

I am not a claustroobic person but this tiny place would drive me bonkers.

After seeing this, I wish I worked on a cruise ship!
