The PrintNC is a high performance, DIY CNC router. It's based on a steel frame to ensure rigidity and uses 3D printed parts to make assembly easy.
The PrintNC project is in active development and community participation is highly encouraged! You can live chat on the PrintNC Discord or head to r/printnc and ask there. Answers are fast and the community is quickly growing!

Despite this video being about subtractive manufacturing, the channel is very addictive. Lol Wish my CNC had all that working area 🙂

I really like this series of videos. I built an MPCNC a few years ago and this looks like what I need to do next. But since I don't own a milling machine, I will be using metal shims to square things up, hehe.

Found your channel when you posted your first printnc video and damn... This is more a philosophy channel for me than anything. The building a printnc to build a furnace for casting a flywheel both triggers and inspires me. I'm not saying Im building a 3d printer to print parts for a printnc but holyshit I've lost control of my life. Please continue making videos so I don't feel alone.

i made a really good dust shoe by 3d printing a shoe with a groove in it and wood gluing in the bristles from a big paintbrush. really packing them in there tight though. but yeah, buying the hair strip is much better if you can wait. And I designed and printed my own cyclone too! i really identify with your thought process and the sickness of it all as well.

I ordered my printnc last week partly because of you. So thanks for ‘ruining’ my life for the next month. Its a bit late, but a box frame in the upper table that locks into a second set of slots a few inches below the original would allow for the adjustability as well as the strength… maybe not 30kg vice strong but 10kg easily

Hahah i am sorry ! Plan at least double the time, you think everything takes. Yeah this seems like a smart idea. lt will probably not be my last wasteboard, or dissassembly of the machine. So far my cad/cam skills are the bottleneck. There is quite a steep learning curve.

@@ChristophLehner Check! I started with a small 3018 CNC Kit near one year ago... On the first day, I already wanted a better one and thought it would be built in a month... One year has gone by, and yesterday I was still perfecting and upgrading the new machine 🤣🤣 At least I'm proud of it 😆

No better choice of first project than to make your wife something that betters her life in order to placate her after spending two solid months in your garage building your CNC! hahah Really cool build and definitely can see this would have cost you fractions of the amount to buy an off the shelf CNC at that capacity. Do you have a way to store it when not in use or is it a fixed member of your two car garage now?

While I've thoroughly enjoyed this series, I'm still not closer to a decision between PrintNC or a V1E Lowrider 3. Both have their pros and cons.
@ChristophLehner
@ChristophLehner Жыл бұрын
If you have the space i'd go for the printNC, it's the more capable machine. Except you plan to mill some giant foam board, then the LR3 would shine. Keep in mind, both take a considerable amount of work, so i wouldnt purley look at the cost
@cy-one
@cy-one Жыл бұрын
@@ChristophLehner Thanks for the explanation. Although cost is a bit factor for me as well. The LR3 uses a lot simpler materials than the PrintNC, but is also less capable when it comes to metals. 1) Gaaaah! 2) Well, it's rather unimportant until I get my 3D printer anyway :D

Using tape under large parts, do you really need tabs as the work piece is still secured? Understand using them on small bits the tape may not hold, but not big bits. But I'm not finished building yet...
