A good reference diagram in the book:
FIGURE 15.6 Mechanism of action of CTLA-4. A, Cytotoxic T lymphocyte antigen 4 (CTLA-4) expressed on regulatory T cells (Tregs) or activated T cells can inhibit the activation of responding T cells on the same antigen-presenting cells (APCs) (in trans). B, CTLA-4 on regulatory or activated T cells binds to B7 molecules on APCs and removes these molecules from the surface of the APCs, making the B7 costimulators unavailable to CD28 and blocking T cell activation. This action of CTLA-4 is able to suppress immune responses best when B7 levels are low, enabling CTLA-4 to out-compete the lower-affinity receptor CD28.

Thank you for all the excellent information and your time. All your talks make me think of the mastermind who created these mechanisms. There must be a creator behind them, Almighty God that is, whose intelligence is beyond our imagination, All Glory goes to him and the fact he has given people like you the intelligence, patience and love to study and understand these processes so that simpler minds like mine can understand and meditate on who created us and how magnificent the human body is and works. Knowing all of this and how the body is prepared to fight to keep it healthy and the balance that is involved only gives me hope that God will fight for humankind to eventually live a life without illnesses some day soon, especially for all those injured by imperfection and Covid among other diseases. Thank you very very much for your time to teach us.

Dr Been , I remember vividly when I was at UC Berkeley and 19 and in my very curious youthful phase-- my curiousity continues unlike my youth, which post vax took a bit more of😒-- but in all events, I learned that DOCTOR means TEACHER. YOU ARE THE quintessential DOCTOR because you are a TEACHER which is actually the greatest profession in the world. THANK YOU🕊

Terrific video, thank you Dr. B. As an aside, what camera are you using now? Fantastic. Also: sugar (fructose from fruit as well) causes massive inflammation. Many are clueless. Intermittent fasting, strategic calorie restriction--powerful weapons/protection against.

Two more superb lectures from the Chronic Inflammation series. I share your excitement and appreciation for our complex and precious immune system. A system not fully understood in all it's complexity. I especially liked this lecture nr 4, with the T Regulatory cells which were only identified in the 90's! Needless to say I watched all 4 lectures twice, trying to memorize everything 🙈

The important questions: does spike protein (natural or vax induced) dysregulate T regulatory cells? If so, is it transient or permanent? What can be done to re-establish homeostasis? I would look for heretical docs who treated HIV/AIDS patients in the 80's and 90's with non-conventional means. They are the ones that understand immune dysfunction

Chronic inflammation smell test reduction persistent, I hear about an Italian doctor that give 1mg of interleukin (not sure maybe the 2) par day, plus 2 day a week ok Keto diet 2 day of intermitting fasting, omega 3 1000mg a day, q10, resveratrol. What do you think? Thank you for the great video part 2 (stunning I'm wondering how it could be in a Cartoon animation with your cool draw) Video cam Feedback : The video contrast is to high, also color correction need to be done more natural :D, I suggest to use C-log for optimized your video.
