With the Avengers and Avenger Villains as Dragons episodes being so popular, it was about time for another round with some more Marvel heroes (and anti-heroes).
I got the awesome subscribers of the PopCross Community to vote on the next ‘something as Dragons’ video and this is what they decided on! ‘What if the X-Men were Dragons? And of course, I had to bring Deadpool into this because… well, he’s Deadpool! I knew drawing Deadpool into a dragon would be a lot of fun!
So in this episode, I do lore and Speedpaint for 5 characters; Colossus as the Colossal Slavic Steelback, Deadpool as the Deathproof Razertail, Wolverine as the Great Canadian Terrorclaw, Nightcrawler as the Germanic Cave Crawler and finally Storm as the Kenyan Weather Wing.
These dragons were all a ton of fun to design and draw and I’d love to hear more suggestions for characters and franchises to mash up or turn into beasts and creatures and monsters!

I like to think that the Death Proof Razor Tail has some arcane magical ability to see in other dimensions, so it always seems disconnected from this plane of existence. This causes it to respond to things that aren't there. It's been spotted having full interactions when it's the only living being in the area, causing most people to conclude that this dragon is delusional.

Nightcrawler has always been one of my favourite X-men, thanks for making him such a cool looking dragon. I’d kinda like to see you try something with Powerpuff Girls, whether it’s making them dragons or into D&D; whatever really. I’d just really dig seeing the girls & some of their villains given the old Popcross treatment.

I think a cool opportunity for Deadpool would have been the same bladed tail, cut in half down the length and healed back up, giving him two blades like his two swords and looking pretty damn cool! I absolutely love it though! These dragon designs are always super creative and fun.

A Professor X dragon would be pretty cool - maybe a snake/wyrm type that doesn't use strength to fight but has hypnotic-style abilities or hallucinogenic venom that mess with the minds of any attackers. It actively seeks out the company of other dragons (even adopting orphans of other species) to pool their hunting and defensive abilities.

I need help, I’m currently taking an anatomy course online and there is this other course about animals that i want to take but i don’t know if i should take both courses at the same time or take it one at a time.

Hmmmmm, I think it's probably best to go through one as in depth as possible and then move on to the other to make sure you're really getting everything you can out of that one course first. Also understanding human anatomy well will make the animal anatomy course even easier because there are similarities. But then again, everyone learns differently, so just make an informed decision based on how you like to learn :)

I've been getting more into art recently and the four shortening on the Deadpool dragons second front paw that's kind of underneath it gives it such a huge perspective it makes it look like the arm is comedically small compared to the other front leg and the way you drew it it's incredible to see how for shortening works and going back and watching your videos I've started using elements of how you foreshorten and how you draw proportions in my own art

Really good batch of dragons, particularly I really like the DeadPool and Storm ones. If you're going to keep on this trend itd be nice to maybe see some X Men villian or maybe some of the other X Men like Rogue and Gambit. Either way I look forward to them!

New fact that I just thought of: the Deathproof Razor Tail is known to be especially fond of the Dracnuracia and seen being playful to the point of annoyance.
