The thing is: Chucky is genuinely not homophobic but he's also blatantly manipulating Jake. He doesn't care much about being an ally, he mostly has a goal to accomplish.

Even though it is obvious that Chucky is only comforting Jake from his difficulties to turn him into a killer. When he said "I'm not a monster, Jake" I felt like that is the only time when he really is being truly sincere.

"I'm not a monster Jake" - threatened, tormented and ruthlessly pursued a man ever since he was six years old with intentions to transfer his soul into his body, not caring that he could die, killed his babysitter, destroyed his life and reputation and deeply traumatized him for life - killed the husband of the woman he liked and then stabbed her in her pregnant stomach out of anger - tortured his mentor with his voodoo doll until he tells him how to get out of the doll's body and kills him anyways - traps a man in a garbage disposal truck and sadistically laughs at his pleas - tampered with the paint guns by putting live ammo in them so he could watch people kill each other in the war games - killed his girlfriend/wife, then transfered her soul into a doll out of spite and violently threatens, disrespects and abuses her on a regular basis and eventually ends up trying to kill her again - possesses a little girl and used her body to kill a few more people and gets her killed - remorselessly and malevolently murders countless men, women and children to satisfy his sadistic urges in general oh yeah he's definitely not a monster

The puppetry in the show is amazing! Glad they chose to stick to traditional puppets and anomatronics.

I love how people are seeing this as indisputable proof that Chucky is an LGBT+ ally when it's only half true. Goes to tell you how good he is at manipulating people as well as slash open their guts.

I think Chucky saw himself in Jake. That's why he left him alive and didn't ran away. He saw how his father didn't accept him, he saw how he was bullied. Chucky probably either wants to help or he wants Jake to be the next big killer.

Y'know, if it was just an accident where the housekeeper fell over and died, and Chucky was just as shocked that it was an accident, it would've been hilarious to see him cussing out that he missed out on the kill. Like, the scene plays out mostly the same, but before Chucky could push her over, she just slips and dies. Chucky then just screams some profanity at the missed opportunity. It would've also given this scene a bit more poignancy, that technically Chucky didn't lie, but we all know he was going to anyways.
